How to finish the level 16 Atlantic and level 1 in the Bermuda?
How to finish the level 16 Atlantic and level 1 in the Bermuda?
All upgrades are on max. I spent more than 100 barrels at each of the levels, but nothing helps. Whatever I tried not working.
Bermuda DLC stuck at the beginning so it does not make sense. I want to keep playing. Otherwise the game is awesome ...

Is there a bug?

Please Help!!!

The pop-up for Atlantic 16 says the boss can only be damaged by artillery, which of course is dumb since the boss is a flying enemy and the two artillery towers can't hit it (but then the rocket artillery tower seems to be broken; maybe it's supposed to be able to hit flying enemies). But anyway, you can damage the boss with other towers -- at least a little. I flooded the map with poison crossbows, and that got me through the first six waves, but there's no way to defeat 20 of the bosses in the last wave.

For Bermuda 1, I have no idea. The 60-odd ships in formation are mini-bosses. I played on easy and managed to kill a few of them, and they're worth 300 coins each (the boss from Atlantic 16 is only worth 500). The mini-bosses can't be teleported, and there are so many of them that artillery is the only option, but even the close-range artillery tower barely makes a dent. I wonder what the actual boss for the map is like.

I've been playing the game on hard, and I've struggled in a few places, but these two missions appear to be impossible. Or broken.

I encountered the same problem, it really sucks when the developers ruin a good game with too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..sad...

I notified Steam and 8Floor (the publisher) about the problems with the DLCs, and neither one cared. They're just happy to take your money.

A solution for those who want to finish all DLC levels - go to game folder (steamapps\common\Fort Defense\td) and open units_sheet.csv file (I used Office 2010, but any program capable of opening & editing csv files will do). Now scroll down to the last 4 rows and edit E column - that's unit's health. As you can see, they have a ridiculous amount of health in comparison with other enemies (heck, despite their name - bosstest - I doubt that they undergo a proper betatesting :p), so I suggest to lower their health to a reasonable level. I started with 20%, but it still wasn't enough to beat some levels on hard difficulty, that's why I also edited another file in the same folder - towers_sheet.csv - I doubled the strength of machine gun (from 6 to 12), and with this finished all levels with 3 stars. You can experiment with other settings if you want, but don't overdo it, otherwise the game will be very easy, so it will be like cheating. ;)

@triock1 - thanks for the tip, probably that's the way to go in the long run. The DLCs are actually pretty nice, apart from these annoyances.

The Bermuda 1-1 wave 3 is actually doable without manipulation, and it was good fun figuring it out - probably it shouldn't have been on level 1, though.
However, wave 4 produces the same thing as Atlantic 1-16 - boatload of flying bosses. That's just silly - even if it can be done (though I'm not sure), you wouldn't want that in the same level as the artillery-heavy wave 3.

Since the advertised enemies don't materialise either on A1-16 or B1-1, it's possible that it's down to unit mismanagement - 20 Monitors would make much more sense on the last wave of A1-16.

I found the solution! The last four lines in the units_sheet.csv file (the four bosstests) are clashing ids with the new DLC units. If you delete these four lines (make a backup of the file, and do it at your own risk, of course), then the game will work as (probably) intended.

EDIT: actually, it looks like the base game uses the "bosstest" units. So you need the original file for the first two locations and the clipped one for the Atlantic and the Bermuda DLCs. It may happen that the DLCs intend to use the initial bosses at some point - that cannot be this easliy helped.

Perfect solution! I see Monitors now, where I had a super-powerful, but usual enemies! This is how it really suppose to work!

This game was great.. then I got this DLC. Level 1 was an instant disappointment. I do not intend to buy from this company unless they find a way to fix an issue that should really take the most minor of updates.
