Tacoma
Hi, I'm looking for similar game suggestions!
I loved this game and would like to play more like it. I love short narrative experiences this one. Other games I can think of would be Firewatch and Gone Home. Anything I'm missing?

I'm with you; I just finished Tacoma and I want some more. Stardrop is one on my wishlist that looks similar. Hope that helps some.

Depends on the playstyle you're after... I like Life Is Strange and Oxenfree, but they're not really the same as Tacoma. More your standard point-and-click as opposed to walking simulators. But still fun and should appeal, storywise.

Kentucky Route Zero comes to mind. There are bonus games that tie in to the story on the website kentuckyroutezero.com . Note that the final 5th act isn't completed yet, but announced to be released this year. You might also check here.

Thanks for the reply. I already played Life is strange and Oxenfree, loved them both!

Thanks for replying! I already played Kentucky Route Zero, waiting for the final chapter!

Maybe you should be telling US what other games are out there. ^_^

The vanishing of ethan carter, what remains of edith finch, abzu, brothers-a tale of two sons, the uncertain, telltale series

Let me know if you guys have any other suggestions. Story games are the best.

Here's some I've played that are similar that you might try (if you haven't already):

The Stanley Parable, Her Story, Lifeless Planet, Spirits of Xanadu, Californium, Serena, Verde Station, North, Home is Where One Starts

Some of these aren't pure walking sims, but they have elements of the same experience. Some of those won't have as good of production quality, but gameplay experience will share elements.

You might also like Night in the Woods then, if you haven't played it yet. Not really a short narrative (10+ hours), but it's split in different days with similar routines, so you can play it in shorter bursts. It plays similar to Oxenfree, with themes similar to Life is Strange.

Some more "walking simulator" / short narrative type games (of varying quality) that I can think of and that haven't been listed yet: Blackwood Crossing; Everybody's Gone to the Rapture; The Station; A Story About My Uncle / Valley (both with platforming/parkour elements); Stories Untold / Layers of Fear (both psychological horror); Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (Horror as well); Scanner Sombre; Event[0]; Sunset; The Beginner's Guide; Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist (free); Thirty Flights of Loving; maybe also Jazzpunk ...

I have to say though, those few you've named yourself, plus Night in the Woods, are already the best ones, from what I've seen.

Those are some very good suggestions. I had never heard of Blackwood crossing or the station, already added both to my wishlist. I'll play the free game next, it's got great reviews. Thanks for the reply!

SOMA might be considered as a"alike". It's quite a bit longer, but it has a fantastic story, it's played in a first person and you don't even get to kill anyone (although you can die :)

Good suggestion! And I think they actually added a "Safe Mode" recently that allows you to just experience the story without having to worry about dying.

Oh really? That's cool, I didn't know about it! Bless those indie developers and their thoughtfulness!

I didn't like Tacoma but I will recommend Cradle, which is one of my favorite games. There are similarities. I feel Cradle has a much more interesting premise and mystery, and I feel it is considerably more fleshed out.

Take a look. May look interesting to you.

I'm not sure if someone has already said it but I can thoroughly recommend Dear Esther.
