Ditto. I also don't understand why the game has a "Volume" option if there is no sound. That just added more to the confusion.
That haunting first song from the NES version stuck in my mind from childhood all the way till now, some close to 30 years later. They even used a remake of it in the trailer, which is part of what convinced me to buy this and the sequel. I was/am just as disappointed although I only paid $.79. Not sure if I even want to bother with the refund... :-\
