I'm guessing that your experience of Déjà Vu is with the Amiga versions, which had sound. These are based on the Mac/Apple IIGS versions of Déjà Vu, which didn't.

I don't mind it too horribly. I would put some jazz music on and call it good.

They have some sound effects, like the sirens and when you punch something. Just no music.

Having played this on the NES in the early 90's i was fairly disappointed that there was no MUSIC! (Sound effects like gun fire, or hitting things are still there) but without the music, half the atmosphere is gone! what a shame.

Ditto. I also don't understand why the game has a "Volume" option if there is no sound. That just added more to the confusion.

I played this game when I was like 7 on the NES. I didn't know what I was doing, always died but the music was the best part for me. Guess I'll just listen to a Youtube play list in the background.

That haunting first song from the NES version stuck in my mind from childhood all the way till now, some close to 30 years later. They even used a remake of it in the trailer, which is part of what convinced me to buy this and the sequel. I was/am just as disappointed although I only paid $.79. Not sure if I even want to bother with the refund... :-\

Do what I did, load up the Deja Vu play list and play it in the background. I feel the same way, I was heart broken when I found out this didn't have the music, I was like 8 or something when I first played it, I hardly got anywhere but I still remember and loved that chilling tune at the start.
