Fishing line won't sink

Heya, I've been playing the game for 2 days. I already have the master fishing rod and most add-ons, espacially the Sinker-addon. Even tho I have it equiped, my fishing line won't sink to the bottom. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Sinker depends on your rod say if you have the great rod it would go down to a certain level, but if you have a master rod it will go down farther. I don't think it stacks too.

thats not the question my master rod doesnt sink at all

make sure ur not wearing a tophat, cos its disables rod upgrades

you can use flick as a better sinker

bait only sinks when line is vertical and only if bait isn't wasted (eaten by bigger fish for example; you can still sink with fish on hook)
