Lost the $1 MILLION Dollar fish!

First, I love this game! Played 48 hours now.
Second, I finally caught the $1 MILLION dollar fish and while bringing it back to the dock on my hook it jumped off the hook! I was really ticked off. Can't find it now.
Still can't seem to catch the Noctis.

that means that 1 million fish ( Josie ) cant be sold which means you need to get to level 42 , press Q to swim, find this Josie, when you reach it hold CTRL until an achievement pops up or something

it might be possible to sell that fish by luring it close to you when you are at the shore, and then catch it and quickly press s. that might be very hard to do havent seen anyone doing that. the 1,000,000$ fish might only swim far so i might try doing that too

i just moved my boat with it on the hook back to dock as i was paranoid of losing it, as occasionally i have.

That's how I lost it! I had it on my line and moved the boat back, but before I could get to the dock It jumped off!

I had this exact same issue. Is the Josie not sell-able? After it jumped off the line, it floated back to the beginning area. After this happened, the Josie will take bait, but will not latch on the line.

I HAVE GOT THE 1M DOLLAR FISH BUT AFTER THAT IT NEVER CAME BACK I WAS SO MAD AT FIRST I THOUT IT WAS A BUG BUT IT WAS NOT A BUG SO JOSIE IS INPPOSEBEL TO CATCH AFTER THE FIRS CATCH
