Dragon/Abyssal Respawn?

Anyone know if the Dragon and the Abyssal ever respawn?

I've caught (and sold) them in a previous game, and they never respawned for me (didn't respawn even after leaving the game running for 48 hours), so I'm going to guess no?

I'd like to keep them in my game, but unfortunately I currently have a quest to catch the Stalker and no matter how often I restart the game the Stalker ALWAYS follows the Dragon or Abyssal, and since I don't want to bring either of them aboard I'm guessing I have to be stuck with an incomplete quest?

I've found that stalkers also follow the swordfish a lot, and hammaheds sometimes. You may also have luck finding them following the maw and the tiger shark, but generally they just follow huge fish in general. Don't give up!

Haha, alright, maybe I've just had really bad luck. Can't hurt to keep trying.

I bombed the Dragon just now and his Stalker freaked out and swam back and forth across pretty much the whole ocean for about 5 minutes, but still didn't seem much interested in bait. Something different anyway. :p

Some fish are... quite buggy, I hope the dragon and abyssal appear for you again! If it helps, I've caught the abyssal once and since then it's reappeared. Remember that sonar scares the dragon as well.

You don't need the game to be open for fish to respawn. Whenever you open the game, it checks how much time has passed since you closed it.

7 days of real time or 7 days of cat goes fishing? (from what I have heard one day is approximately 15-20 minutes)
also do rare large fish like the Josie and the germ respawn? since I have restarted my catalog so I can fish all the fish again
also important point: I'm playing on classic mode since the last time I played cat goes fishing was 4 years ago when it was still free in google play and that was the only mode back there so I wanted to have a bit of nostalgia

josie, torby and ancient kingfish don't respawn, but the rest do.
