Night fishing is just annoying...
It's difficult to find small fish anywhere, and once you finally hook something big, this punk comes and annoys you for 5 minutes until he finally pushes your hook against the ground which, for some reason, is a 100% snag that you can never recover from.

Night fishing is supposed to be more difficult. It's a change of pace. Small fish are more rare by design, but you have tools to fight this!

- Crankbait/Sinker lets you reach small fish to use as bait with zero risk.
- Radar lets you find patches of Snobfish flocked around Nightfish. (These get huge if you're wearing Nightfall.)
- Want them faster? Put a few "attracts" on a lower tier rod (target bulbfish or snobfish) and cast that for bait at night. (Change rods quickly with "Z" and "X".)
- Too much work? Use "Bait Hat" to skip small fish entirely.

As for the Noctis: if you can't out-maneuver him, then you always have bombs!

Edit: If you don't have a lot of the upgrades unlocked yet, you can always click "wait" from shore to end night early.

I like it a lot, especially fishing during stormy nights! :steamhappy::roundfin:

Bombs won't solve the problem, he continues to attack and harrass your hook even with a fish hooked. In the screenshot, you can see the sonar trail of my hook after I had already hooked a shark. He continued to pull around an already hooked shark over and over, making it impossible to reel in the catch, eventually slamming it into the ground where the hook snags permanently and you need to snap the line.

Well, it's not impossible to lose him, but...

They really will!

Just bomb him, then cast again for the fish you want. That's literally why bombs exist. :steammocking:

Ahh, come on, night fishing is actually easier then day fishing. and much more fun too, its mush less crowded with fish you dont need, and it easier to get to the bottom, or get what you want, and I have no problems with getting big bait, putting big hook on it and catching noctis, to get him out of the way.

@Spirit of Madnees
Indeed, that's very true!

@Strahl
If you 'can't' bomb him, just get yourself a large bait + big hook and throw it in the water, he'll snatch it in a few seconds. Don't fish before getting rid of that annoying troll, hate him! :D::roundfin:

New rod upgrade: "Flick". (Unlocked after your line snaps on a cave wall.)

TL;DR -Night is great - I have to disagree with night,its entirely my favorite time fishing,Tik Tiks are gone,All annoying fishes are gone(except that Large Night fish that name i forgot,and Lamina) And its easy to get a Specific Fish,that you need(medium,small) with lower chances of getting eaten by a random fish(im looking at you Mustardfish) and it even easier to make a Hard-to-get fish follow you until you get near boat and get it easly,due to the fact that the annoying fishes are gone

Can you maybe add daysleep?
that would be the same as the wait but reverse!
