Some fish too strong?

I'm confused, I swear there are some fish that are too strong to reel in even with 3 stacked crank and gauge. An example is the male/female fish out by the reef. I know some fish have a gimmick but others I just don't know.

You probably mean Luifin and Mizifin - these fish' gimmick is these pull incredibly strong.
You catch these normally, but it takes like 5 minutes to catch one. Then these'll finally tire let you reel.
I got these with Master Rod, 3 Gauges and 2 Improved Cranks (you might take more Cranks if you want) and at the same time swimming back to the shore.
Why swim back? Because these pull so hard you can't stop them on steadily going further and further from you. When these tire I end up having my boat on the shore and the fish near the coral reef. ;-;

Just lure them to the surface, as soon as you see your boat let them take the bait then reel in. Simple :)
