Haven't thought about any others, yet. Maybe I'll name my Firefly the Serendipitous.
Looking at the vid again, the Overland doesn't look like a Firefly, and otherwise looks super big and bulky. Kinda looks like a turtle poking it's head out of it's big pi gu shell. Might name that one Morla. I'll make final decissions when I get the code and see it's in-game model.
You know, you could exchange that Millienium Falcon reference for the Ebon Hawk. Ebon Firefly?
Lunar Veil is a name that has stuck with me for years. I've used it for everything friom a city to a planet in games. Reckon it could be a decent ship's name as well.
If we do get to have multiple ships (the extras garaged in a shipyard of some sort?), I'd also want to sneak in some names that themed with scorpions, phoenixes and topaz/citrine for sure. Oh hey, another phoenix fan!
Ember Phoenix or The Topaz Scorpion would be cool. Could even play around with their Chinese counterparts or variations of the two languages:
Topaz Xiē (SEE -EH)
Xiē Citrine
Xiētrine (SEE - EH - TREEN)
Fèng Jìn {FUNG - JEEN)
Jìn Phoenix
Ember Fèng
Fun times. ^_^
A fun random ship name generator can be found here, good for sparking ideas: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=shipnamer
BTW, the Overland has engines and a wingspan that looks similar to a Firefly but the rest of it looks very cargo transport-y, hence it's mid-bulk transport status.
I understand Japanese pretty well, but Chinese completely eludes me. Japanese is so much simpler to read and speak, to me. I think it's amazing when an English speaker can also speak Chinese. Mandarin sounds amazing, but it just sounds like sounds to me, sadly.
Just realized something:
I don't think any of us are going to be able to have a Firefly Class ship at the get-go. If you notice, in the Cortex, the Ship Viewer for the Firefly Class says, "This digital item is non-redeemable in Firefly Online."
Sounds like that means that a Firefly Class is only purchasable through credits we earn in-game.
I'm thinkin' the Firefly Class is there in the Ship Viewer because, well, it's Serentiy. Who wouldn't want a preview of what she'll look like in the game? :D
Considering Mal got his Firefly on the cheap, I'd like to think they'd be available at the start as well.
IMO, what's the pointin making a Firefly game if you can't pilot a gorram Firefly from the start? :P

Unfortunately I only speak English and Mandarin. I know a small handful of words in Taiwanese, maybe one or two in Japenese or Thai, but that's pretty much it.
Also, fun fact: St. Alban's moon is named Pi Gu, which means, "Butt," in Mandarin. Also, Xiaojie, a moon of Sihnon, where companions are trained, means, "Miss." Like how you address a young woman or waitress. Just thought that was funny. And Bob. The moom Bob needs no translation lol.
*Unfortunately* he says. ;)
I've grown up on an American education and it doesn't encourage learning a second, let alone a third language ... even though it pretends to. It only encourages what fits into their students' minimum graduation requirements. IF you want to learn a language beyond the first semester of it, you have to sacrifice other arts & humanity electives like Theatre Arts, Fine Arts and Orchestra. Since those were my bread and butter in HS, I opted to only take a semester of a foreign language so I could keep playing the violin, drawing and acting.
