Frame Drops

I have this problem with constant frame drops. As if my internet connection is very bad and I can't watch video. Frame drops are terrible - it's like a slideshow. As far as I understand, I'm probably in minority with this problem. So I just want to know - those frame drops are because of internet connection or there is some other reason? Because this is the only FMV game with which I have such problem.

Hello, I am pretty sure it's should not be connection problem because the file is already downloaded to our storage, this is not animation game that need rendering so it's not because GPU either, then it might be related to codec and video playback capabilities of your PC.

I am using Windows 10 22h2 (I choose not update anymore since the updates after it will bring many error to my PC) and Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti Studio Driver ver 566.14 (I don't update the driver anymore because new Nvidia drivers screw lots of game)

With that setup, I don't experience any problem since the last update on 14 March 2025, I have LAV splitter and video codec installed which handles most video files.

I don't know yet what codec, compression and container the developer use for their video in this game but I have no problem with the video playback.

Hello! Yeah, it seems that the reason is my laptop. Because I tried this new Back game, and also have the same problem. Then I’ll try to find the problem on my side.

What the spec of your laptop ?
Does it have h264 codec and video splitter ?
