Achievements

Let me start by saying that I've enjoyed this game. I've liked it to the point where it has me wanting to go for 100% achievements. Let me also point out that I'm the type of player who doesn't mind a bit of grind. That being said, the last achievement (kill 1,000,000 aliens) is, in my opinion, unreasonable. After completing all of the story missions, I still only have a mere 67,000 alien kills. That means that even if I play through the *entire story 10 more times*, I still won't be even close to 1,000,000 alien kills.

I personally think that 100,000 alien kills is more doable (again, as someone who doesn't mind grinding), but even then, it would be nice if there were, say, a sort of 'survivor' mode in which one would try to score as much as possible before (inevitably) dying. That (along with any other modes which could potentially be added to this game) would surely add to the longevity of this game, thereby justifying at least the 100,000 alien kill achievement. As it stands, though, 1,000,000 kills is pretty darn ridiculous.

You are right. I have removed that achievement as it makes no sense. However, with DLCs coming soon there will be new achievements.

Glad to hear it's been removed, and I'm looking forward to the new achievements. I was actually going to post some suggestions for different achievements, but it looks like there may not be a need for that now. Overall, I was quite happy with the way the achievements unlocked progressively at an organic pace, and I didn't mind most of them being story related. However, I thought it might have been interesting to have some trade-related achievements, or perhaps even achievements for scoring a certain amount of points on a single (or certain) level.

My only concern for DLC-only achievements is if the DLC itself is 'too expensive', but I'm guessing that's not going to be the case?? Do you know if it's going to be free DLC or at least reasonably priced based on the amount of content?

Also, you say the DLC comes soon, but how soon should I expect it?

Some of the achievements have an erroneous description, by example:
ACH_LIEUTENANT_THISTHAT.
I don't remember the actual wording, though it should be obvious that should not be the desciption of the achievement.

This isn't in-game, it is on-Steam. All the rank promotions are like that.

I'm talking about when one achieves becoming a higher rank, the achievement illustrations in the activity feed hover-over print out: ACH_ZOTRIX_RANKTHIS_WHATTHAT.

I think it has to do with the achievements not having descriptions (either as cause or as result).
