Letting neighbors in without ID | Denial Vs Elimination | Neighbors Denied Entry: 1... but who?

(I only played campaign, this is my experience from my second run)
Figured out that neighbors are valid for entry even if they've forgotten their ID especially if a roommate confirmed it so I started letting them in after confirming via their roommate that they've forgotten their ID at home

That's somewhat fine unless there's a possibility that literally EVERYTHING checks out except the forgotten ID so if you haven't already taken this into consideration, please do

An alternative approach would be to Deny residents with missing documentation EVEN if they're neighbors and have that not be penalized by only penalizing invalid denials or add other reasons to deny while eliminations being invalid because right now, if denying is the right choice, elimination is also right although more risky

This gives the Deny button an actual use other than "I'm unsure if you're a doppelganger or not so I won't kill you but to be safe I'm not letting you in"

As for the Day summery, as I've said I started letting people in without ID but I rejected one of them who turned out to be a neighbor, i flicked through the Day List and everything checks out, no indication on who I've accepted or denied and if that decision was valid or not

Using this information there's literally no way you could figure out who that neighbor was that I rejected but using my memory, I can tell it was Margarette Bubbles, she's solo, phone didn't ring, missing ID and everything else checks out. Because of the missing ID, I denied her entry because I thought if you can't confirm the ID is at home, denial is valid but no, apparently the "correct" choice was to let someone in without an ID and without being able to validate its existence

As far as I understand, it is possible to achive an S rank for any particular day without using the phone at all. That rank is given if all neighbors are allowed inside (no genuine human is executed or denied), all doppelgangers are executed (not denied but executed) and all checkmarks for those who are allowed inside are correct.
The reasons for an execution are:

• Forged documents: wrong logos, numbers, names, reasons for entry, professions, dates.
  
• Wrong appearance. Sometimes it is super subtle: Mclooy's brows having 3 spikes instead of 4, the milkman's chin being pointy instead of trapezoid or Alf's having an unnoticeable mouth under his moustaches.

All doppels that you may encounter have one of these wrong. But their documents being forgotten are not on the list.
Such a meticulous checking may be excruciating. So it is always fine to make a quick call for a chance of a swift elimination if the callee's words contradict those of an applicant.
