Fake docs, other minor inaccuracies in appearance, may be you should do a phone call to check, that he is already at the room, etc...
All of things! Something you're missing, or may be that is those little chance of random gamestyle.
The rotation of the seal doesn't matter. Just check if approved text is there, if DDD logo is correct and if stripes are there.
I really don't like this change. It gave the game character and meant you needed to think a bit extra when a doppelganger showed up, and listening to their reasoning and deciding if it was true or not was fun. Now they all answer the exact same things and the special quirks are lacking. An official release shouldn't take things away. The game is still fun but it feels like it's lacking a lot of the charm that came with the earlier release.
I don't want to criticise because I know you've put down a ton of work on this game and I really do love it, but I'm disappointed in the steam release.
Yeah I’m not a lover of that change either, it didn’t make the game easier because let’s be real you scan it quickly so you are bound to miss something anyway but going from “always wears a hat” to it doesn’t matter anymore is weird, I get it switches it up and makes it harder but that’s a big change from the original beta
Given we can ask the roommate if they left behind the identification, and that if I question the neighbor about their appearance they acknowledge they aren't wearing their hat, is there any chance this can be added as a question to the roommate (if there is one / if they're home) about whether the hat is at home or not? Would also be interesting if someone IS wearing their hat but their roommate says they left it behind.
This would actually be a really good option! Like even if they live alone it’s that extra “oh crap is it them”
