May be there are other things that's not right?
Fake docs, other minor inaccuracies in appearance, may be you should do a phone call to check, that he is already at the room, etc...

I did actually do that, docs were all correct, he wasn't in but his son was, maybe it was a glitch but still so weird lol I do hope the creator brings back the descriptions I dont know why they were removed
Check that floor-room are correct, ID number, ID expiration date, stamps, etc.
All of things! Something you're missing, or may be that is those little chance of random gamestyle.
elements of appearance and their color: cheeks, lips, nose, moles, chin, eyes, forehead, scars, hairstyle, absence of foreign implants or mutations, etc., etc., etc.

Guys, in this version the hats are not relevant, that's why there is no description, the only descriptions that matter are those that are on the folder like the Nacha's eyes and the sharp theeth for nightmare mode. This is another game with new rules, Mclooy can just not use his hat and that is ok in this version.
You really have to double check everything. I just barely realized someone's eyebrows were wrong right before I was going to let them go through. Attention to all the details is really important for this game

The rotation of the seal doesn't matter. Just check if approved text is there, if DDD logo is correct and if stripes are there.

I really don't like this change. It gave the game character and meant you needed to think a bit extra when a doppelganger showed up, and listening to their reasoning and deciding if it was true or not was fun. Now they all answer the exact same things and the special quirks are lacking. An official release shouldn't take things away. The game is still fun but it feels like it's lacking a lot of the charm that came with the earlier release.

I don't want to criticise because I know you've put down a ton of work on this game and I really do love it, but I'm disappointed in the steam release.

Yeah I’m not a lover of that change either, it didn’t make the game easier because let’s be real you scan it quickly so you are bound to miss something anyway but going from “always wears a hat” to it doesn’t matter anymore is weird, I get it switches it up and makes it harder but that’s a big change from the original beta

Given we can ask the roommate if they left behind the identification, and that if I question the neighbor about their appearance they acknowledge they aren't wearing their hat, is there any chance this can be added as a question to the roommate (if there is one / if they're home) about whether the hat is at home or not? Would also be interesting if someone IS wearing their hat but their roommate says they left it behind.

This would actually be a really good option! Like even if they live alone it’s that extra “oh crap is it them”

A lot of people are confused about hats and documents left at home when nobody can confirm (2nd person is outside or neighbour is basically living alone). This should be included in the tutorial not in dev notes outside the game.
