I have played 1551 games, killed 10,533 residents and captured 7580 doppelgangers. recording it for a video, im at 30/32 wanted posters. i dont think this achievement is possible to complete without some sort of steam achievement hacker
I am actually in a similar situation where I am just grinding arcade mode to get the achievement since Story mode has a very low chance of even getting one. It does get kinda frustrating after waiting a half hour with no luck, to finally getting a unique doppelganger and its a repeat. I love the game but wish this achievement was more accessible. I had an easier time farming seeds in Black Myth: Wukong.
I have 8 out of 32, but 4 of those 6 I have met multiple times.
I strongly suggest that if a wanted person is captured via DDD, they should not appear again. Maybe this restriction could be lifted once all 32 have been captured?
Additionally, at least one should appear per campaign—after all, that's 32 campaign games anyway. And please don’t give me the excuse that "people will just call DDD for every resident," because that is exactly what’s happening right now via arcade mode. This is because there’s no reason to keep replaying campaign mode if you don’t even know whether a wanted person will appear or not.
Regarding the Clown and the Question Guy
The Clown: If we’ve already beaten him and unlocked the ability to play against him, can we please have a tick box to disable him from appearing again? Even skipping him wastes real-life time. This way, players who still want the encounter can leave it enabled. Also, does winning (aside from earning the achievement) or losing against him have any actual in-game impact?
The Question Guy: The issue is the same—it wastes real-life time. If we already have his medal, can we get an option to prevent him from appearing again? Or at least let us call DDD without any penalty? Also, does his event have any in-game effects? I have the medal, it’s just sitting there shining, and I don’t know if it does anything. Does it increase the chances of getting a wanted person?
Final Suggestion
Another tick box/option: When opening a person’s folder, clicking their phone number (on the paper) should automatically dial the residence, instead of requiring manual input on the phone every time.
For me, I always start with the phone (unless it makes no sense, like if no one is home), because sometimes doppelgangers have both required documents. But when I call the residence, a resident might inform me that there is an important document inside—meaning the person in front of me is a doppelganger. That means I don’t even need to waste time checking their documents—just call DDD immediately.
The problem is there is no reason to continue play.
I really want the posters, cause I'm achievement hunter, I just not see a point in play normally.
My plan is to start do arcade and kill everyone again and again anda gain until I get them, but seeing what people say in this thread, now I'm kinda worried that would take forever as well.
The problem is this achievement is not "hard" to get, is just a waste of time.
There's not skill requirements, no challenge, just boring scrolling through thousands and thousands of neighbours
I have no idea how I got it.
I mean I didn't have any issue at all.
To be fair all achievements works perfectly for me.
I dead to the ghost by total accident, cause I was like "I want take a good look to the ghost before ban it" and I dead.
After that I try a couple more nightmare night and when ghost girl spawn again, I just shut the door on her when she half through the screen. Achievement pop immediately after that.
Dev is pretty active in releasing patches anyway, just need some patience
Anyway there's plenty arcade to play while waiting for patches ;P
(Since poster are so fricking rare)
I have the same issue with the haunted achievement. Just doesn't plopp up when I bust the ghost lady >.<
I know this has nothing to do with the Wanted Posters (which, by the way, you can now more reliably collect by running campaign with the latest update; should get multiple throughout a run~ You still need to get lucky with repeats, though, of course) . . .
But I got the Haunted achievement today after failing a couple of times, and then finally got it. Basically, I was clicking the window too fast as far as I can tell. You have to be quick, but not TOO quick that it doesn't register she's there. So let her get about half-way in and then slam the button. (And bonus reminder, you can restart Nightmare Mode repeatedly if you don't get the mask-newspaper girl at the start. ez pz)
No, you'll get the achievement as soon as you capture the Ghost if done successfully, no need to finish the day.
