I'm thinking of writing and publishing a tutorial for modding, hope it'll be here soon.
And for sure we're interested in adding worthy user content into the game!
Right on Milosh! We'd love to see something like that from you guys!
HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥ THAT WOULD BE AWESOME I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS FEATURE, IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being that you're responding to posts nearly a year old ... some of this stuff may be out of date by now :-)
There's a basic modding guide on here now as a resource. And all the source code is on GitHub so that helps!
Will we get some sort of modding(or more reasonably just some way to easily download mods) system?
Really good question. Workshop is a fair bit more of an obvious option than anything in Google Play land.
With Terasology we're using a more generic module system not tied to the Workshop. The goal is to look at implementing this for Destination Sol as well. Since DS already works on Android maybe we'll get to see how the module system holds up there. I really don't know, but am curious to find out one day!
Workshop integration is one step beyond that, so perhaps that's good news. General modding comes before Steam :-)
