Seems dead on linux... wont start on ubuntu 20.04 crashes after logo... figured it was dead myself

If not it should be killed with fire. Honestly can't believe in less than a minute I found what to me was an immersion breaking bug as I was able to hit asteroids and bounce off instead of my ship being blow the heck up. Going to remove this from my account now.

the original dev had plans to continue development but according to reports some real life troubles halted all progress. they then set about searching for a "Worthy Dev" to take over the project... after the new dev acquired the game they posted a community news letter introducing themselves and then vanished. its been many years now and they've done nothing with the project. so YES this game is dead because the person who currently has legal claim to it has probably forgotten they even have it.

its likely earning them more money from the trading cards than the game itself (being free) ever did.

back when the original dev was searching for a successor to take over i even offered to buy the project but he said he had already found someone. a shame. i wanted to turn it into a grand galactic adventure with multiplayer and procedural sectors in a similar fashion to the old StarDock game Stellar Frontier.
