How to launch other mods correctly
When having installed Europe at War over Steam,
it seems to have broken some mods compatibility.
This is a problem but since the other mods use launch options,
that are not quite compatible/safe way of doing,
here is how to reproduce the "good" way of launching other mods.
I know some have launchers, but as far as i can tell, they launch the mods directly from the RelicCOH.exe and then with some arguments, but that, is the wrong way.
You have to launch it over Steam with arguments. In theory the difference would be:

RelicCOH.exe -mod Europe_At_War -nomovies [BAD]
Steam.exe -applaunch 228200 -mod Europe_At_War -nomovies [GOOD]

As a user, how can you make this?
You could create a shortcut to the Steam.exe with the needed arguments.
Or you could set launch options in Steam, here is how:

1. Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
2. Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
3. Enter the launch options you wish to apply and click OK.
4. Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

These launch options could be the following:
-mod botb = Battle of the Bulge
-mod blitzkrieg -dev -nomovies = Blitzkrieg
-mod tgw = The Great War 1918
-mod moderncombat = Modern Combat
-dev -mod Battle_of_Crete -nomovies = Battle of Crete
-mod Eastern_Front = Eastern Front

I hope this helps and explains.
Remember, if you dont always want to change launch options,
you could do a shortcut on your desktop with these arguments.
(launch the Steam.exe with the arguments)

How to fix the crash when pressing Skirmish
The fix is to delete the "playback" folder

C:\Users\(USERNAME)\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\playback

a way to get around having to constantly delete this folder everytime you restart the game is to:

- delete the file in the playback folder called "temp.rec"
- create a new text document
- rename it "temp.rec"
- rightclick on it and in the properties change the file to read only

Thanks to
Pvt. M. Riley [3rd MAR]
for pointing this out.

I did that, but I'm still having some problems.

If you do what stand in the "how to" then you cant save replays anymore! Not from EaW or any other CoH Vanilla or Mod-Match.

Just delete temp.rec if you want to save stuff again.

ive fixed mine using a solution i thought of my self, i went over to my file for coh /Company of Heroes Relaunch and right clicked it then i went in to properties and changed it to a previous version from a few weeks before i installed the mod/ I deleted my coh file after I copied the one i wanted from previous versions and then i reinstalled the mod using steam and its been working without any problems, the only issue with this is you lose any thing you put in to the file over the time from now to the previous version so I would recomend backing up anyfiles in Company of Heroes Relaunch you want to keep before trying this out

What is the problem?

Unable to play with firends, please help
For some odd reasons my firends don't show up online in game and I do not show up for them. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but nothing worked. I do not know whats going on. Does anyone know what the problem is exactly and if so how do I fix it?

There's a bug with who's online and who's not when you click on the top right tab called "Friends", people that are on Europe at War from Steam don't come up there, those who are on the New Steam Version (with or without a mod not downloaded through Steam) show up tho. I have, however, had problems with a guy not being able to connect my game because he was playing the mod through the New Steam Version of the game which I think has less maps and is a different version than the one here on Steam because after countless tries we eventually connected but our units started doing their own things during the game. So yeah, make sure all of you have downloaded EaW through here or you're all playing through the New Steam Version with the download made from ModDB so there are no different versions.

Ok, thank you

Close cmd black window to show games and online friends (every one must do it)

Bug fixes that you could try.
Hello, I've complied a list of bug fixes I've found through this time spent on the CoH forums, for easier reading.

First of all here is a guide on Fixing a few CoH related problems from Oooosh, mad props go to this guy for his effort: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=175370459

2nd is a few things that worked for a few people:

Deleting the "EaWDataPatch.sga" file in your Europe_at_War folder should fix a single player and multiplayer error caused by the AI(script?).

If you're unable to play with/see your friends online close the Command Promp (cmd) black window on the mod's start up since that might be causing the problem. Your friend should do it as well.

Verifying a game's cache, just right click your game in your library and click properties, then go to Local content and press the button that says "Verify integrity of game cache".
Official Steam support topic about it: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

Going to your My Documents folder, my games, Company of Heroes Relaunch, playback folder and either make it read only or the file in it, temp.rec read only by right clicking and going to properties from the General tab. Here is the topic from where I picked it up: http://steamcommunity.com/app/228200/discussions/0/630802343959772881/?insideModal=1

A quick google search should provide a few more topics such as this and making the playback folder read only provides a bit of a performance boost since the game will no longer record your current game meaning more resources can be diverted to playing rather than recording.

I hope this helps and please post anything more that could help, cheers.

Edit 1: An answer to a recently found bug concerning a Fatal SCAR error in game by playing PE (or any other faction but I'm not so sure of that) is to untick the swimmwagen from the reward units tab in the game, due to unknown reasons to me but it might be because it's scripted and the Katengrad isn't.

Edit 2: Even if your system is top notch I've noticed a fair amount of problems arising from high graphics settings, try lowering them and see if it helps. Texture corruptions (yello/purple/black spots/boxes or whatever) can happen even to a GTX980 so I suggest you try different options and see what works and what doesn't, every system is different and if even CoH 2 is giving people performance problems and bugs, no telling how this game will handle.
