Cheatmod

has anyone managed to get cheatmod (http://www.moddb.com/mods/cheatmod-company-of-heroes/downloads/cheat-mod-2601) to work with this mod? i don't like using cheat engine. infact it doesn't work for whatever reason (nevermind i did a bit of testing and it does work. but i still would prefer cheatmod.)

Cheat Engine does work. What version of cheat engine do you have? 6.5? Also I've posted a link for the correct cheat engine download for the steam version of COH.

not to be insulting but i am aware of those other posts, like i said i'd prefer if i could use the more seamless integration cheatmod presents, it also includes more features, such as disabling the ai, revealing the map, so on.

Oh no. I wasn't saying you were not aware of other posts.I was just offering a suggestion that I know works. I do not know if cheatmod would work because, I have never tried it.

I've talked with Dartborne about implementing CheatMod into the game and he says it's either not possible or too complex to do, at least that's what I understood/remember from our disscussion, but I'm not 100% sure. You can guess it's probably not going to happen if it hasn't already sadly.

Actually, i managed to do it by myself, it's quite easy actually. all you have to do is a make a shortcut of the game (not via steam, but using the games executable) open properties and add -mod Europe_At_War -mod CheatMod -dev -nomovies after the quotation marks. (after installing europe at war and cheatmod of course) if that doesn't work, then i have some other things i added that may or may not have helped. (also, cheat engine is required for unlimited resources.) also, apologies for wasting everyones time, but atleast if anyone else has my problem there's a solution.

Alright, glad to hear it worked. Oh and I think I was talking with him about a gamemode with more resources like the infinite population one, not integrading cheatmod so excuse me for that as well.

Also if possible and if you could be bothered can I ask you to post here whatever else you've tried to do to make it work so we can direct people here who want to play with cheatmod as well.

The tutorial i posted in my response is how you get it to work, and i'm fairly certain that is what made it work, before i tried something else, which was putting cheatmod.scar into europe at war's scar folder. (located in the data folder of both mods.) but that didn't work for whatever reason, and one other thing is these methods can be used with any other mod. adding cheatmod.scar to any mod's scar folder will usually work, and if it doesn't you use the other method but replace Europe_At_War with whatever the folder name for the other mod is.

I'm sorry. New to this , What does the cheatmod do to the game ? This is probably a stupid question !! But will ask it anyway !!!!

Like the name implies, it adds loads of developer-like commands activated using hotkeys, but it isn't a trainer, it is built into the game.

You should probably reinstall europe at war and/or cheatmod then, and also the executable i'm talking about is just the game's executable, located in the place you see when you go into properties and browse local files.

Well yeah I know what the executable is, it just isn't in the files for me.
