Help with areas and building
Currently I'm loving the game, but I had a few questions. First, I was wondering where can I build? I see a lot of amazing builds already, but I was wondering how to find an area to build in (Can I build in areas that have been already built in? Would I get banned for doing so?). Also, I was wondering how to get to other areas? Thanks! :)

Welcome, and glad you like it! To create your own area, click the bottom-left menu triangle and pick "Create Area". Depending on where you are and what you have tried so far, there's now further suggestions in the dialog which appears. For instance, you may be asked to go to the Elsewhere region first... if so, click Elsewhere and go around 100 away from center, and try some collecting, building, removing there (you shouldn't worry about being banned there as the area is meant for try-outs too, though let us know if anyone objects). Once you've done that for a bit, the Create Area dialog should now offer you to create a new area. Follow the steps in the dialog and name your area, and you'll be teleported there. Good luck, and let us know if this works out or if there's more questions please!

This helped a lot! Thanks again! One more question, is there a guide to the create menu? I'm having difficulties with what the types are meant for. :)

First, go to the area. Then open the creator, hit Ctrl+F and search for "Writable" (or pick the Textual category and hit the Change button). This is now your area writable, and you can draw the mailbox or anything else. Note the first two colors are important: the first is the background color, the second the text color of your writable. You can also toggle the settings of who can read and write to the board.

Note when creating an area writable, the area you are currently in is associated with it when saving. So all the editors listed in your area dialog are now the editors of this writable, having extended rights to it (such as deleting of threads or comments).

Let us know if this works out!

Works perfectly, thank you! A few more questoins if it is no trouble. First, is there a way to change a spawn point to your area? (EX. I'm making an island that will have multiple seasons and holidays that change when the dates progress, so I was wondering if it is possible to change a spawn point later on?) Also, if changing the spawn point isn't possible is it possible to move a section of your area to another location? One last question, how do you make a thread a sticky? Thanks! :)

While we don't have adjustable spawn point coordinates yet, it could definitely come in useful as a future feature. For your example, there may actually be an interesting approach you could take: to use sub-areas. You could make one sub-area per season (say named winter, summer and so on), and have it look the same as the others except for the seasonal changes. Then you could add an area-global Interacting[manyland.com] in your area and have it contain code like

someone arrives: /to winter

Once the season changes, you'd then replace winter with summer, autumn and so on. The main area could now either be one season, or a base of a different kind... it could be nearly empty (as it will show only briefly due to the automatic teleport), or be the inner of a house (thus empty), or anything you can imagine!

To make a thread Sticky, you need to be the editor of that writable's associated area. If that's the case, just click the ▶ next to your thread comment, and click "Stickify" in the options. Let us know if it works out please!

Thanks! It works perfectly! One last question, is there a limit to how many sub-areas I can have, or is it unlimited? Also, can I delete a sub-area?

The amount of sub-areas should be large enough so you don't have to worry about hitting any limits. If you do ever hit a limit, let us know though please!

Sub-areas can currently not yet be deleted, but we'll keep that in mind for the future!

And if you want please share your area here later!

If we still can't delete sub-areas, make it possible to rename it at least.
