Does destructible environment make PvP shooters better?
Destruction in shooters can be a game-changer—think Battlefield-style collapsing buildings or smaller-scale cover destruction like Rainbow Six Siege. But does it always improve gameplay?
In a fast-paced PvP shooter like Rapid Impact, I’m considering adding some level of environmental destruction. It could create more tactical opportunities, but also add unpredictability.
How important do you think destructible environments are in multiplayer FPS games?

🟢 Must-have, it adds depth and strategy
🔵 Nice to have, but not necessary
⚪ Doesn’t matter much to me
🔴 Bad idea, it could ruin balance

Its gonna make waves on release but for further gameplay it needs to add to it. F.e. you could crush the walls to a room where a camper is hiding... Variety... So this has to deliver from scratch! Would not recommend for an 1 dev team tbh... Or u leave buildings intact so players have to find a strategy to clear the room throug this one entry just like escape shooters but than u need to make it slower at all. Dont forget to think about hardware ressources models etc... is it worth it? As always it depends on where you going. For me personal i wouldnt care if it is destructable but it would be an neat update in near futures if ppl ask for it. For now just focus on core imo ^^ For me its in between of doesnt matter and nice to have... But if i have it needs to work

Suggestion. Focus on Core and add that with an update. First make it go forward, then left right. Then let it go backwards. Then let it fly and then let it dig. Dont let it dig when it only can go forwards... Wait till the core is done. I dont think your core is destructive environement like BF... They have it and it sucks ;) BTW, if u need an Tester, i am Quality assurance specialist for software but i love to find bugs and stuff in my spare time on games so if you need honest gamer and also quality feedback, just hit me up i am more than glad to get my hands on an shooter ^^
How about u try a diff path? Are you capable of empowering ai? Let npc'
s team up... make em smart as ♥♥♥♥... That would be something. Heard of games comming they implement ai to their npcs to make fights challenging.. i mean rly challenging as the npc/boss is going to adapt to you after you died or succeeded and will deliver something cpl new . but as i see it your game is an mix of an cod like shooter and Insurgency sandstorm like one.... Also the Npcs need to move quicker and more fluid to add to the immersion. right now it def. looks like easy bots. As i see it its an quick shooter like insurgency... how about to mix tarkov with cod.... but not the bad of both worlds but the best. kinda like ABI but diffrent gameplay... aka not an ES

Maybe, add another stance... I mean another holding the gun stance. One loose, one hip and the third scope. while loose is like now hipfire but spread wide. Hip is more concentrated and scope is top.... Dont take me serious i am just playing ball with you. Throwing ideas back and forth u know ^^
