Next time I'd love to see the event posted on Steam 48 hours before though - it's gonna bring even more players in and let people know they exist in the first place.
Except that there was a secondary piece to this event that only ran for the weekend where they had someone giving out free codes for things.
But the event is quite generous, it is even to some extent better than for the New Year was.
It is also strange that there is still no indicator of color and patterns, even a small icon. When the color, pattern or decal are described simply by text, it is not clear what it is.
Buy the 4 AMS piranha or 3 AMS kit fox and you'll get there in no time. Or you could just buy a corsair 7A and have it done in 4 matches like I did.
Think of all the poor sods waiting for VR and mod support for MW5.
But I had up to about 500 missiles shot down per game.
Yeah, devs kind of killed the game with all of their greed. It sucks because it had so much potential, but the amount of likes and comments since this was posted kind of says the state of the game. There are very cool people who play this but the game's been stagnant and it's not an easy game for new players to get into and do well at all, when you have so many folks who have been playing it for years already.
I mean MandaloreGaming's video on it a LONG TIME AGO basically states most of the issues. I miss playing the game during it's Beta many many years ago but it could never keep my attention for long, just took too long to get into matches where you could die in a minute and then have to wait forever again to get into another match.
Razer sponsoring this event also doesn't bode well with me. Their products are so cheaply made and break all the time. I've owned so many Razer products that have broken within a year or two, and now they won't honor their warranty on a Deathadder Elite of theirs that broke, so I went with Logitech and they gave me a discount code right off the bat to buy one of their products.
Will never trust Razer and their trashiness again. Guy at Best Buy years ago was helping me buy a mechanical keyboard and he was like "yeah, don't buy the Razer keyboards. They are OK but feel cheap and break. Get a Corsair keyboard instead" and I did. Still have it and still working years later.
Literally my Razer experience and I also went to Logi, I like their G series stuff and it hasn't steered me wrong so far aside from the G Hub software being a bit wonky.
I think the reason they did it was because they have Razer dice in the game already and it seems like an easy matchup for some quick cross-promotion with zero effort/investment. Nothing wrong with that, I just wish we could see some more effort applied.
For example, why don't we get Daeron to be the pointman for accepting steamers and content creators to be put on the front page, not just one guy but as many as possible? It would be an awesome marriage between the devs and the community that has, in my opinion, held this game on their shoulders and kept it fed and alive for much longer than it otherwise would have without their help.
