ya but that also means the new company decides not to put more money into the franchise and hence no more mwo 2.0
I think the issue was the opposite. It should have been named Mechwarrior 6. Tons of people thought its just a way too expensive expansion. Although, maybe a shorter cheaper expansion would've sold just fine.
In any case, they wanted to make a new game. And I think they failed its marketing badly.
Overall I consider it better than Mercs, which is a hot take since people seem to love that one. I just cant enjoy the endless farming of the exact same missions in mercs. Though one could argue that happens to some extent in Clans too.
Clans might have a chance to improve if they fix it while releasing DLCs, like what happened to Mercs, but it depends how much they're putting effort to Clans now.
The game should include elements that are not of these mechs but rather other mecha, including tanks, gun turrets and other mecha armored vehicles and maybe even armored fliers etc. The actual mechs in this current game should be the pinnacle of the war machine and the new mechs are the continuation of it, without erasing the past elements of the whole scheme of things.
This is how the game advances IMO.
Right now, the multiplayer aspect still has no other elements. You spend time trying to join a game, then die and do what? Watch, or go join another game and wait some more.
In my mind if your lose your mech you should be able to exit it and even upon death of suited human, you should be able to re spawn in lessor elements of the game just to add these elements to the game and keep it interesting for the player and give that player more immersion into the size of the mech and why it is the pinnacle and also give dead players something to do besides going to join another game and wait some more.
Re spawns of the pilot could be limited and the game end conditions can still be whatever is designed as the end objective.
If you look at the evolution of PvP FPS video games it went from just being the shooter to jumping into and out of another vehicle.
Mech warrior multiplayer PvP is the opposite. You are in the vehicle always and it seems to omit every other mecha from. Which is why it now has a feeling of stagnation. As it doesn't seem to know where to go?
So if they don't do that we don't do that
The key word here is
"OLD"
Mech warrior is how "OLD" now?
"It would not be Mechwarrior if you change it."
???
It's not a bible, It's a video game?
Are people going to worship it?
For EVER?
Why must you try to change things that already exist?
Create something new for once in your life.
Mechwarrior doesn't have to go away just because one person wants it to be more like other games that already exist as well.

Only one part of your comment makes sense..
"Create something NEW for once in your life."
Like rehashing Microsoft mech warrior you mean?
I guess we agree then huh?
