Best play time for an Aussie would likely be according to USA time zones and when that region is more likely to play, evenings weekends and such and not so much middle of the day USA time. Player count is also seasonal so northern hemisphere winter time is more populated. West coast USA will be on early evenings to sandman time USA west. which is likely early waking hours for an aussie? I like a rude awakening with my coffee, How about you?
Or try to promote the game in your area, if you know any gamer people. Get a population going for the best server option.
I still see new people who ask questions in VOIP
21k active players as per Jarls which gets the stats straight from MWO webpage afaik.
Balance isnt causing steamrolls. Its the matchmaking. Which could be improved but I think MWO doesnt have staff for it. Soup queue has been quite a dicetroll from the start and its been getting worse lately. T5 and T4 has the majority of playerbase and it feels like the tier limits are looser so T1s are matched with them more frequently.
But yeah active players have still dropped which is likely causing that.
Well lets just make this simple Comp and coordinated whats left of the faction teams mostly T1-T3 destroyed faction play destroyed scouting destroyed 8v8 game play and destroyed Solaris now thanks to them there destroying whats left of what once was Solo Quick Play.
This ideology has killed MWO game play and you know who is to blame.
Honestly it would be the fault of the Og PGI development that let the game putter as an eternal arena shooter. Faction play was a disappointment and then they doubled down on the disappointment when they released Solaris.
If the base game had been more interesting then an arena shooter more people may have started playing in the way back but what is done is done and at least Mechwarrior lives on in some way, shape, and form.
