And they should definately not be a primary weapon. Maybe merged with small lasers if you have the room...
That said, they are not used in high end play.. and really have to be used, in at least 2, but 3 or 4 is best. the medium hero, arrow, is a heck of a lotta fun with 6 machine guns an a pair of Large pulse lasers..
Cicada 3C, can run a ERPPC, with 4 pretty well too.. Though it is a very nitch mech, and pretty average over all.
Spider has a 4 machine gun, and the Hero Raven huggin, and Hero Firestarter ember. Jagers can use um too..,.. for the most part those are really the ones that do it fairly well.
For clan side, i am not sure which ones do it best..
Maybe a buff will come for them and Flamers... We can only hope
It seems flamers make more heat then they are supposed to cause...
But hey. If you get 7 of them, you might be able to slowly melt the back armor of a commando :P
You know, I tried that once... in the atlas's pelvis. Then again, I was using an ER large with that...
