everything is wrong in mechassault...i mean playstyle/gamestyle wise. Arcadey and simulation-orange to apple. Better you watch some youtube/streaming for better info.
You'll like this one. =)
I gotta say Fallen Devil is spot-on about Mechassault, that game embarassed true mech fans.
Also, I was told a long time ago that MWO sucked and not to try it. BOY was that guy wrong, I can say, This is a mech game that you can be proud of.
I have never ever had so much fun with a Locust before.
now, If I can just figure out the best controller set-up, I'd be rocking
But yeah, OP... I've been hooked on BattleTech/MechWarrior since '95. MechAssault wasn't my most favorite because of the style compared to the other MechWarrior and MechCommander titles, but overall had great fun playing those MA games on Xbox.
Like Metal Gear Revengeance - it has nothing to do with Metal Gear Solid, yet is a solid game.
People playing Mech Assault may even get in the real MechWarrior games like we see here !
Good stuff Derrick Moore, Mechwarrior 4 was a beautiful game.
Mechassault had very little do with 'normal' third person shooters, which is why it was so successful.
The second game wasn't very good, but the first game was a huge thing from release until they stopped supporting it. You should, like, go read about it before you start talking out of your rear.
MA1 was also way more of a mechwarrior game than MWO every will be. Sad, isn't it?
I'm sad to agree in the context MA1, for its arcade-like gameplay and content that wasn't really mechwarrior (well, it was in the name :p), did a better job to sticking to mechwarrior roots.
