just remember, jsut cause you can build it, doesnt make it practical in combat lol.
shadowhawk 5M, dual LB10X, great tight group, slow as balls, no combat practicallity unless an LB turret is useful lol.
YES
it's all well and good to think you have the perfect build but this is just paper statistics.
whenever you make a considerable change to a mech build, just run it in a training ground so you can be sure of the weapon locations. the timbie, for instance, you just don't really realise how low and wide the arms are until you try shooting lasers from them.
another thing is to do your weapon groups either when you've built it or in the training ground if you need to be more specific. it's just courtesy. otherwise you're trying to do it at the start of a game, and many people will randomly shoot to test their groups and weapon positions, and i have seen many an argument, fight and teamkill over people simply being disorganised and inconsiderate.
I've got a question concerning smurfy's mech lab and hope that you guys can help me out. I don't know what the color scheme means. So, for example, I configured my first mech according to this: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=183&l=e6c731b471377d9a267998def87df40005f28d96
Actually, the max speed of my Mech is 97.2 kph. How can I reach the green shaded 104.5 kph? What modification is necessary for that? Thanks for any help.
The one in Green you get when you unlock the Speed Tweak/Freak (whatever it is is called) via Mech Exp.
You get there by unlocking all the basic skills on 3 different variants of the Stormcrow. Then the Elite skill line will open, and one of them gives you 10% speed boost in the mech, which is the green number with Smurfy.
the green 104.5 (or whatever speed comes up with a build) represents the Speed Tweaked speed of the mech. that's a mech skill that you need 3 different variants to unlock
Though that site is very well laid out. Does it update as rapidly as smurfy's does on patch days?
There is no other game out there that would need it more
3 Custom loadouts for a single mech please god
Because PGI obeys the four rules. They are:
1) we can't have nice things.
2) no fun allowed.
3) minimally viable product.
4) it was our position at the time.
Well it`s their buisness model....
Buy 2 more Mechbays buy two more Mechs of the same Model....
Problem solved and more money for PGI...
It`s the same with finding your modules. It would be easy to make a fast finding tab but then many people would just buy one (4 for CW) and that would be enough much less grind and much less demand for Premium Time....
But also less money for PGI! So why should they do that?
Vassago would do all that for free... we all know that but since the folks at PGI want to get paid (greedy I know) many things that would make things faster or easier for us will not find their way into this game.
