Alpha Strike key does not work

Hi Folks

Just getting into MWO and doing the traning mission and already hit a snag. My alpha strike key doe snot respond at all in game. Can anyone help me please?

Try to assign it to another key.

All in all, aplha strike is really pointless.
If you have spare weapons grupos assing one to fire everything.
Or just press 2-4 buttons at the same time

Hehe no it is qwerty and I ttried asigning to aother key yet nothing happens, i.e. cant assign to another key

You should press "save" in left side of menu after changes you've made.

I have this bug where ive got 4 ER Large lasers and heatwise i can fire them just fine sequentially or even in 2+2 groups one right after the other but if i fire them with the alpha key i go into immediate shutdown?? very strange

How can I hit the # button? My keyboard is Turkish Q and I can use that key by pressing Alt Gr + 3 button because that is under 3 button.

No. That does not work. You have to quitely press the key the trainman says. Even if you change the key that won't work.

Edit: Okay, just check the controls. It says which button does Alpha Strike. It is ";" on my keyboard. =D

Just don't use the alpha strike key, it's pointless. Rather have 3 or 4 easy to reach buttons for weapon groups.

He'll probably figure that one out, but the academy railroads a bit, making that a little impossible.

I remapped my Alpha strike to the L-Alt key.. which I use my left thumb to press... 90% of my mechs are build to fire Alpha Strikes...

That is just fail... Also using a mouse with more then 2 buttons to use more than 2 groups is much more efficient then pushing multiple keys on a keyboard...

What do you think I ment with 'easy to reach buttons'? That included mouse buttons.

Yeah.... Many "readers" on these boards need what's called "precise language" to really understand what is being communicated to them... Because i'll wager that there's a few that would assume you meant keyboard buttons... And few that know so little about computers they shouldn't be using one (the simplest PC tech issues i've solved over time has shown me that)...
