Pilot name

Is there any way to change it short of making a new account? When I joined I didn't realize when they asked for it, it would be my in game name. :(

contact support at [e-mail] and ask them to change it...you´ll just need a good explanation why you would want it changed...

LOL, thanks. In my rush to play I had no idea that when they asked for my pilot name it was going to use my actual name in game. I would jsut rather I had a fictional name in place for so many reasons.

Well, I got a pilot name change but that was like year ago, before steam launch.

I'm sure that if you explain you accidentally input your real name and ask them to change it for privacy and security reasons they will.

Also as Horatio said, there was word that name change will be coming to the game soon but im pretty sure it will have a real money cost attached to it.

They won't change it, i just asked support. They are suppose to enable name changing in January according to the response I got. Lets just hope it doesn't cost money to do it.....

members of my unit got theirs changed...as i said, you need a good reason

example, if your name is cokk dickson and all of your friends make fun of you, and you guess it might be your name... chances are they´ll be generous enough to change it :)

I contacted customer support and am just waiting for a reply. Of course it is the holidays so they told me in a auto response any reply will be delayed.

I changed my name on MWO, by emailing Support. But they only do that once, so make it count.

Most games I been on charge for something so it wouldn't surprise me. They prob are refusing to do the name changes right now cause of the feature being added soon, so I would just wait a bit.
