MechWarrior Online

Statistiche:
No Servers found..but mech is locked.
Seriously PGI. I return to this game after about a year after historically putting thousands of hours into it, in the hope that it has improved. I get about 1 game in 5. Constantly saying no servers found after map voting, but then my mech is locked so cant take it into another game.

Seriously, pull your finger out. Either give up on this game, or revamp all your terrible systems. Servers, graphics, Mechlab all needed revamping about 5 years ago.

You represent 90% of what is available in the Battletech universe these days. It is making me sad..

Yeah, it's definitely frustrating. I think that it has got to be influencing their player numbers (it's frustrating enough that people quit for the day and do something else) so they HOPEFULLY are motivated to fix it?

PGI is fully aware of the issues and are currently working to fix them.

yesterday and today game population is below 400 players, ive read on mwo forums this might not get resolved till the 12th or the 14th (not sure how accurate these claims are). this games player base is already dwindling fast and if they take too long to fix this issue its gonna kill this game entirely. side note it only seems to happen to me when i play assualt class mechs, for some reason i can find and play matches in my medium mechs.
5 failed game searches with the message "no server available", 5 mech blocked in non-existent games. I have no more free mech to play.
Please fix the bug.
If this continues there will be no players left.
Per the official website they **MIGHT** get this bug resolved before the December 14th patch.... A big that was introduced in the November 11th patch.

Classic PGI;
break ♥♥♥♥ and walk away.

i have the same issue but also now only have 1 mech out of 118 bays . lost all my other mechs. everytime i log back on still only one mech and if i do play it gets locked out as above 1 game in 3.
There has been an update on the forums, mention of a potential fix that might go out next week or so.

What are you smoking? Patch was 21st and they're working on a hotfix for the start of the week. Game is 10 years old and there's only a skeleton crew left. Not much they can do.
They'll fix it, calm down

Doomers gonna doom

"2ND UPDATE DEC 1ST:

Hey everyone, I just wanted to provide another update as we head into the weekend. I appreciate everyone voicing their thoughts on the forum and understand the frustrations that can grow from an unreliable gameplay experience. I know communication and transparency can go a long way to ease those tensions, so with that in mind, here is the latest update.

We have spent the last few days testing both the current build and the "Great Bolt-On ID Cull" build, and we are happy to report that we are optimistic about moving forward with this change next week. I will explain why we are waiting until next week, but first, here is some interesting information about this change.

Currently, MWO has 22,288 items in the database. These item IDs encompass Mechs, Engines, Weapons, Equipment, Patterns, Colors, Decals, Titles, Badges, Cockpit Items, and Bolt-ons.

Here are the stats for the current live item ID Database:
Total Items: 22,288
Total Bolt-on Items: 12,381
Of the 22,288 item IDs, 12,381 are bolt-on IDs. That is around 55.5% of the items in the database.
This is why bolt-ons have been targeted as the best possible optimization.

Here are the stats for the new optimized Bolt-on ID Database:
Total Items: 10,431
Total Bolt-on Items: 529
Bolt-ons now make up 5% of the items in the database.

What I find interesting is the majority of the Bolt-ons were added in the original release of the bolt-on system in April 2018. The patch that released the bolt-on Faction Flags was probably the second-largest addition of bolt-ons. Here we are 5.6 years after the addition of bolt-ons, and we appear to have hit a theoretical item cap of 22,288 items in the database (using the current system).

Another interesting stat is we only added a total of 706 new Item IDs to the Database this entire year. Again, these 706 item IDs encompass EVERYTHING we added this year: Mechs, Weapons, Patterns, Colors, Decals, Titles, Badges, Cockpit Items, and Bolt-ons.

So with this optimization, we have given ourselves lots of room to continue to add content to the game for the foreseeable future!"

wow. i wonder why PGI doesn't just migrate everything(accounts and et al) over to MW5? its a way better engine. seems like they reached the limit of the ol'e cryengine.

More reading comprehension, please. It's not a bug they introduced in that patch, but an issue that existed in the engine for a long time. The reason it's appearing now is that adding more item IDs into the game triggered it. They are addressing it by reworking how the bolt-on system is structured to reduce the number of IDs that are used up (since it's responsible for ~half of them).
Only a complete moronic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would try to do that overnight in a live environment.
so why not fix it in the past?
