Try the night gyr H set of 8 with 2 hag 30, 1 hll 2 ermed with ecm. It's insane. High mounts, JJ and nasty alpha with good dps. It's impossible to not get 1200 dmg.

XPULSE - Situationally OP - Needs perfect builds or they're worse than using a flamer.
HAG - OP - The guy who said it was cancer was right. Getting insta cored is not cool.
BLAZER - GLITCHED - Something about a line of code out of whack and will be fixed by devs.

I think what pisses me off even more than HAG being absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insanely OP is the fact that it's a CLAN-ONLY weapon. Like, for real? As if they weren't busted enough?

good thing that only happens in faction play. HAGs really are not that bad. yea, they hurt, but they are not even on every mech that can mount them, let alone an entire team.

and that team of HAG users better have utterly immaculate aim, because if a light gets close to them, they are going to suffer.

is there any point in running AC20 or RAC when a HAG mech can just dump everything at once and then run to cover?. heavy gauss weighs like 18 and does 25 damage but hag 40 weighs only 16 and does 40. sure it fires multiple projectiles but that really doesnt matter in most scenarios, maybe against lights and mediums but definitely not against assaults.

its kind of sad tho because any weapon that requires extended periods of engagement rarely works when theres a group of mechs around the corner ready to alpha strike you into oblivion. they where added to the game and all and have a place in the lore, yet they just dont give the same results as instantly obliterating anything that dares to show itself. you can at least make RACs work as a perimeter defense weapon(to some extent) because they deal absurd damage over time and forces enemies to back of, but otherwise not unless the enemy is focused on someone else and over extended into your firing range.

both my AC20 hunchback, and RAC5 cicada have done well, post update.

the hunchie seems no better and no worse. the cicada managed an exceptional 1k damage match the last time i used it, a couple of days ago.

maybe i'm not having a bad time because i'm playing lights and mediums like the matchmaker wants, and not trying to run an assault when the population is ~40% assaults?

true, they do work on more mobile mechs where you have mobillity but its harder to use them on assaults as a brawl weapon, because no matter how sneaky you are trying to be the enemy either wont try to push or they wittle down your teammates and then rush you in a group. it pains me to sit there and wait for an opportunity to engage in a favorable scenario where i wont get nuked in seconds. im in no ways super good at this game or anything but ive had instances where i felt like i was redundant no matter how good i was.
