Factually untrue. The shadowhawk largely replaced every medium mech back when it first released, and it was only with quirks a long time after that trash like the hunchback, cicada, blackjack, trenchbucket, wolverine, griffin...and so on started appearing again.
essentiall you could do a simple ballistic build of dual guass, triple UAC10 or quad UAC5 and fill everything else with ammo but laser vomit is going to be hard to get a reliable build with out the room for heat sinks
My Warhammer with double Ac/10 can easy kill any Timber Wolf 1vs1.
Now that Night Gyr mech is just too powerfull.
double Ac/10 or double gauss, is really heavy. Each shot 10 damage or 30 at long range one time. What schould I say , 4 Night Gyr Double Gauss are = 4*30 =120 Damage, thats for any Assault mech an overkill.

By your argumentation this 2 would be overpowered too and they are faster. Yet you never see such mechs. I wonder why.
2 that mechs dont have supporting weapons like med pulse lasers.
this Night Gyr rocks
just 4 Med Pulse Lasers Doubled Gauss and 60 Gauss Ammo
that a long range serious Firepower

Easily huh? hmmm... I'll accept that... do you think it can "easily" beat my TBR-C? You did say "any" right? And it's a "Laser Vomit"
Please ignore than 800+ games i've played in it, and the 3+ days of battle time in it..
And also.. By your "logic" then, the HBR is too Epic? because it can mount double UAC10's, with 5 S-Lasers, ECM and 5 tons of ammo.. (I prefer it with Dual PPCs and LB10 though)
Until I eat its ass out with my mist lynx because the turn rate on it sucks. :p
mastered 69.7 kph , that night gyr can easy keep up.
For a Heavy mech that is slow... That is the target speed of my assault mechs when I outfit them.....
Thats not to say FW doesnt need some significant work (because it does), im just saying that FW is a valid game mode which brutally punishes a lack of teamwork.
That said, if youd like to see how to rock FW in a coordinated drop with inner sphere mechs, grab a Davion merc contract and head on over to the Davion team speak server. We do pretty well.

works fine for me on that speed.
Second, dont leave spare tonnage lying around when you could dial up your armor a bit.
Third, twin gauss needs more than 50 rounds, IMO. Strip some stuff.
