Is there a way to duel a friend in MWO?

Yes. If you have premium time, you can setup and run private matches with pretty much whatever settings you want.

Yes, I can vouch for that...me and my friend were pulling our hair out until, by chance, we both got a free 24 hour premium time. Then I had him join my private match and it was cool beans! Pick out a map and go. It was cool.

The free premium time and extra MC events give are pretty nice, just make sure you guys are earning the rewards on the same day to sync up the premium time.

Be sure to check the pop ups when you start the game, as they tell you about events often times. Currently you can get 2 days of premium time if you win one scouting match and one invasion match in faction play. There are also a few MC rewards that can add up to another day's worth of premium.

In one quick match, I said to my team after they**ahem*** gave me, again, "advice" on strategy I shoulda used with my Atlas. Yep, no words were minced. I got to typing as fast as I could in a huff, "Man, that's it! I know I suck! This is too much! I'm trying to learn! I'm sorry I screwed up the match! Tell me where all the noobs or people like me that totally suck at MWO can go!...Tell me what tier I can play with the people that suck so I can kick the ^%$# out of them and win all the time, so nobody will yell at me!"
I awaited their answer...

You don't have to win the matches, just get like 40 match points, which basically just requires you to have been something other than afk during the match. Good luck on your learning, ask around on the forums here or the official ones if you'd like some help from more experienced players. Just be ready to explain in full exactly what you do in a match or take a video of one of your average matches and share your builds.

I don't know when but they are going to add a 1v1 mode, that was said on the MWO page

It was never said they'd add it, but Paul and uncle Russ have been tricking the community into thinking they'll add a solaris mode for years.

Saturday, Dec 03, 2016 12:00 PM PST Is for the Mech_con 2016 and when they are going to do the 1v1 match & map thats for sure. But as for it being added to the game for everyone IDK we will have to wait and see ( not dreaming just repeating what I read )
