Solaris 7 Potential Tips or Tactics?
Hi guys, looking at the Division Roster what do you think are some mechs thats would be more popular or high performance?

I think my Direwolf would do some serious damage without light mechs in the division, but that is just my gut feeling it is not proven yet...

Post your own speculation and points of view for Solaris 7 play for 2v2, thanks!

One obvious one is you're going to want to bring a lot less ammo and a lot more heatsinks.

Dire Wolves would be neato on the high damage output side of things, but would be easily demolished by Annihilators in the tier.

My idea on best mechs per divison:
1: ANH-2A
2: AS7-D, ARC-5W
3: HGN-733C
4: BL-7-KNT
5: KTO-18
6: HBK-4G, CN9-AH
7: SHD-GD

This is assuming a brawler centric setup. Annihilator being immune to the brawler centric requirement due to potential loadouts that are equally powerful. 2v2 would basically be picking two of the same mech, focus fire one guy first, focus fire the other guy. Kinda the same idea but one guy on each side is getting double teamed if the sides are working optimally.

I was hoping to run my VND-1R but it's in Div 4? WTF. I have to fight Black Knights? That seem right to you?

Totally fair and balanced :^)

Less ammo
More heatsinks
Fill any spare hardpoints you aren't using with the smallest weapons you can (small-medium lasers, RLs, MGs)

alternatively even less heatsinks and just enough firepower to kill an enemy before overheating.

We sort of already discuss tactics in the other thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/342200/discussions/0/3211505894107028217/

Tactics will largely depend on the maps we have available. Ultimately you will want weapons that hit hard and can strip the enemy mech of weapons.

You don't even have to kill them outright before overheating.. you just have to hit them hard enough to take a good portion of their firepower before you do.

I'm thinking builds with about 1.5+ cooling rating and 50+ point alphas will dominate - speaking very generally.

Based on what was previewed on NGNG, most maps seemt ot be close-mid range oriented.

Anyway feel some of the Divisions make some mech selections obsolete or do you feel the Divison balance is just right?
Entirely depends on the maps. If it is a dynamic set of terrain, I will attmempt to be the highly mobile maniac that just doesn't get hit.

Bonus points if my enemy only fires at less than 300m for full damage...

Its way off with most divisions having a small handful of valid competitive mechs.
I like how the meta is set before launch.

...it will be interesting to see how my oddities survive.

Anyone planning to use Heavy Mechs in Division 3? What is a recommended Mech and loadout for heavy mechs in division 3? How do you plan to fight Assaults in Division 3?

Pretty much the same way you do it in Quickplay. Use of cover and superior aiming.

Your not locked into Divisions from what I understand you are locked into Patron contract. I beleive this means you can drop in Division 3 one match and then Division 2 the next.

Only if you have the mechs for it. Mechs are locked to Divisions. And by the sound of it you are not locked to a Mech.
