So how do you use Light PPCs then?
Makes for a pretty nasty PPC Setup.
If you prefer more Armor take out a Awesome (dont know which Type) with 1x HPPC in both Torsos and one in its Arm. Makes 3x HPPC which is really nasty if you keep your Distance. Otherwise there arent any good PPC Setups out there except for the Clanners and even those are very limited except maybe a Shadowcat or something like that.
Triple ER PPCs is probably the sweet spot for most people. Deals good damage and many builds can even get off an alpha.
Quad PPC builds still run too hot IMO. Getting hit with it hurts but I've seen too many people panic and shut down at the worst time or blow themselves up to be impressed.
Scariest thing I've run into is a pair of Heavy PPCs and medium lasers. (On a thunderbolt, actually.) Instant ST loss and not a thing I could do about it. I haven't had a chance to try it myself yet but I'm certainly going to the next time I'm online.
Warhawk prime - 4ppcs + tc1
Highlander iic-a - 4ppcs + tc1
Grasshopper 5H - 2hppcs + 4ml
Vapor eagle 1,3 - 3ppc
Blackjack 3- 2hppcs
Awesome 8Q - 3hppc, 3-4mlas
There. Best ppc mechs.
Ps: clan ppc splash values are wrong, they do more damage then intended. Enjoy using OP clan ppcs now.
I find this post interesting, as Heavy and Light PPCs both have identical ranges and projectile speeds. They did before the patch also.
The one upside with a GHR is that the CT has always had such big hitboxes since it released that it's one of the heavy mechs in which an XL engine really works well. However, I would never recommend using a GHR without some JJs, as the ability to jump while twisting is a huge survival thing for that mech in helping transfer damage.
That, and the GHR makes a shockingly good poptart with certain builds (I even do it with 8 MPLs and have carried matches in the past). After all, Grasshoppers jump ;)
