why bother? even a 2080ti struggles with 4k on some titles. 2k is superior in that regard dollar per pixel anyways.

I was just kidding. MWO is not suited well for 4k. Too old. Don't have issues with 1920x1080, though.

1080p is easily readable. Sounds like you either need glasses, or have a small screen.

literally the text when i set the resolution to 1920x1080 goes to like 5 pixels in size making it barely readable but when i make the resolution 1600x900 the text is readable along with other stuff

i... actually wasn't aware that the HUD didn't scale overly well with higher resolutions, though at 23" i don't find the text at 1080p that small

however, this does raise some slight worry as i've just bought a 27" 1440p panel and i am, at the very least, mildly interested in keeping up with the jones' as far as lancemates health goes

UI scaling isn't possible with the version of CryEngine or they're incompetent and totally messed up their foundation of the UI to not scale.

I play on a 55 inch and 1080 isn't acceptable. 1440p and everything is to small in the UI.

Left the game 4 years ago because of this and they lost a paying customer that spends money on these types of game.

Player base is way down for a multitude of reasons, including this one.

Speaking of resolutions... what kind of performance do you guys get in 2560x1440?

In 2560x1440, my GPU (RX 480 8GB) usage tends to stay around 60%.. somtimes seeing 70%. On this rig I'm messing around on right now, the G4560 (2c/4t Kaby Lake) never goes over 70% usage. That's pretty much while I'm running around in game.. Same frame rates as the FX-8350/RX 480 8GB rig I have.

But, when I die and it goes into 3rd person... BOOM, 100% GPU usage (sometimes, at least, not always). When I press F3 for 3rd person view while I'm alive, it does not go to 100%, it stays exactly the same, around 70% max usage. At some points in some maps, it's down to 45% GPU usage. 1080p doesn't yield higher frame rates at all.

I am getting around 50fps in game... 80fps at the very beginning, but as we move closer to enemies, it drops. Just not sure if everyone sees hardware usage like that or not. It's like I have way more potential but it's not being used.

CPU bottleneck. I had a 4790k 980 and then a 2080ti. Only saw a gain when resolution was changed from 1080 to 1440 from the 980 to 2080ti. But now with a 10700k / 2080ti I see an even bigger gain on 1440 from the 4790k.

Game is mostly CPU based. So good luck getting a good single core based processor.

AMD is the best bet unironically right now, as a 5600x scores 609 on cinebench r20 single core.

I gotta wait until they put out more CPU's.. very disappointed that they put out just enough for scalpers to double/triple the prices on Ebay.
