however, this does raise some slight worry as i've just bought a 27" 1440p panel and i am, at the very least, mildly interested in keeping up with the jones' as far as lancemates health goes
I play on a 55 inch and 1080 isn't acceptable. 1440p and everything is to small in the UI.
Left the game 4 years ago because of this and they lost a paying customer that spends money on these types of game.
Player base is way down for a multitude of reasons, including this one.
In 2560x1440, my GPU (RX 480 8GB) usage tends to stay around 60%.. somtimes seeing 70%. On this rig I'm messing around on right now, the G4560 (2c/4t Kaby Lake) never goes over 70% usage. That's pretty much while I'm running around in game.. Same frame rates as the FX-8350/RX 480 8GB rig I have.
But, when I die and it goes into 3rd person... BOOM, 100% GPU usage (sometimes, at least, not always). When I press F3 for 3rd person view while I'm alive, it does not go to 100%, it stays exactly the same, around 70% max usage. At some points in some maps, it's down to 45% GPU usage. 1080p doesn't yield higher frame rates at all.
I am getting around 50fps in game... 80fps at the very beginning, but as we move closer to enemies, it drops. Just not sure if everyone sees hardware usage like that or not. It's like I have way more potential but it's not being used.
AMD is the best bet unironically right now, as a 5600x scores 609 on cinebench r20 single core.
I gotta wait until they put out more CPU's.. very disappointed that they put out just enough for scalpers to double/triple the prices on Ebay.
i wait yeaaaaaaaaaars for this
