How do I use my consumable?

Went to mechlab and added coolshot. I went to weapon group and it doesn't show up. Can someone tell me?

Consumables are being used via hotkeys. Check your keybindings. They do not show up in your weapons group but at the right side of your screen. The Cool-shot icon looks like a thermometer.

If you check the right topish corner.. you see an circle with a dot in blue, below what looks like an artillery and an airplane in yellow. The airplane is the airstrike consumable, the artillery is the... well you guessed it.. and the blue circle informs that you are currently under the influence of friendly ECM.

When you used them, the icons grey out.

There are two ways to set keys for it in the settings- by type (air strike, cool shot, UAV buttons) or by number (so consumable slot 1-2-3, as it shows up in your HUD). I set my consumables to numbers 1-2-3 along the top myself, makes it easy to remember what button is what in the heat of battle, but if you have a gaming mouse, setting it to a specific button (especially for placing artillery) can work well.

I cannot remember the default buttons though.

If you’re a new player setting up the game, consider lowering mouse sensitivity (which defaults really high), and setting your “arm lock” key to “toggle arm lock”, so you don’t have to hold it down when using it.
