A or B due to ECM CT. A-variant if you want this one CT JJ and B if you don't. You can use D-pods for dakka on any variant, but CT is a thing you can't just switch at will, so I'd take one of the two ECM Asps as a base.

As above, make sure you buy one with ECM - then get omni pods to suit.

Overall, i dont like assault mechs with XL engines....scared me off buying the B Asp

So far, it's fairing okay. Quite sturdy, averaging 500 damage per map. 4x ER-ML, 2x LBX-5 and one UAC20. Scary alpha, putting damage on them uglies :) Handles like a concrete fridge tho, so have to put in some movement skill points ;-)

The Blood Asp is a Clan Mech, their XL engines don't blow up when they loose a side. They function like the Light Engines of the IS mechs.
