Outside of that i have no clue what the issue could be, i don't use a mic to often so not sure what could conflict with it.
If that is not it i would Send your DXDiag over to technical@mwomercs.com
I could have been more specific when I said I messed around with all the in-game settings, but yeah, all of these I've already tried.
Hmmm... I'll give that a whirl. Will report back.
Set device as default in Recording settings.
ensure windows is reacting to the audio input by tapping it while looking at the device screen.
game set to use default audio devices (incase there is such a setting, can vary game to game.)
if its not working in games, test it in other medium that can make use of a microphone (i usually use something simple like audacity i use it for other stuff but audio testing and level adjustment it helps.) other voip services like discord or Teamspeak work for this using their sound level test in options.
try a different port, i've had instances where i've forgotten to hook up the forward mic port on my case so i end up sticking it in the rear. (yes that was intentional)
thats all i got for now. if anything else comes to mind while i'm gaming i'll add it.
I actually ran into the same issue earlier.... I just had to restart the client
-checked, it's default, and nada

-in the properties tab where you can "listen" to the mic, I do hear myself through the headset when speaking into the mic, so it definitely works. I haven't tried it in another program though - I dont even think I have anything else that would need a mic.

-hmm, i've been putting this setting to my headset specifically, rather than just leaving it default. But at this point I've run out of options, so I might as well try it.

-same as above, it definitely works outside of mwo

-I've tried doing that with both an analog mic (plugging it into the front and back mic ports, and yeah, making sure that those ports were the default recording inputs), as well as using a usb mic, plugging it into both front and back usb ports. Nada.
thats all i got for now. if anything else comes to mind while i'm gaming i'll add it.
-thanks, I appreciate it : ]
I've restarted my client perhaps 7 or 8 times today just trying different settings, and I can vouch that it has not worked.
