Nothing quite like a pair of LBX 20's and a bunch of SRMs to smash whatever you come in contact with.

What variant?

Usually gets at least 2 kills in QP. Got "creeping death" achievement using it.

You were lucky to get an achievement with that build! It's not very good, I'm sorry to say.

@Vulpi: Try these instead:

I still run the Deathstrike like it shows in the video, although the quad CHSL and twin CUAC/20 build is fun for trolling.. The MCII-B has been modified to run quad CUAC/10s instead of quad CUAC/5s. Both versions are good, though you need more skill to use the /10s because of their added heat. The CLPL build on the MCII-A is a beast when used properly. I improved upon the MCII-2 by changing the SRM systems to SRM+Artemis (same tube size) and by replacing the CUAC/10s with CLBX/10s. I haven't done much with the MCII-4, but I'm thinking of turning it into an ATM boat.

Basically, look for some synergistic weapons to mount on your MCIIs. They are reasonably quick for their weight, so they can make decent skirmishers. They do well at range too.

Well one of the standard tried and true MCII-B Builds is the dual UAC10/UAC5

Ofcourse Armor and Ammo distribution should be changed to fit your style

2 erppc, 2 uac-2, 4 lrm-10.

i also like 2 erppc, 2 gauss.

as you can tell i prefer medium to long range engagements with this mech. if i'm going to brawl i'll use my atlas

The 2x UAC10/2x UAC5 MCII-B is probably the strongest all-rounder of the C-Bill variants. The Gauss Vomit -1 and Scorch-knockoff -2 are solid too. The Angry Dakka Cat can do pretty much anything you need, though it obviously excels as a second line fire support.
Thanks for the advice guys

Angry Dakka cat that sounds like just what the doctor ordered

Ah, the A is a weird one, the worst variant actually. Its just so mixed up, has 2 ballistic hardpoints but one is in the CT so you can't have two large ballistics, only has 5 energy weapons, only 2 missile hardpoints.

Where other variants would run dual gauss or quad ATM12s you'd be stuck with a single gauss or dual ATM12s.

Could run a gauss rifle, 2 heavy large lasers, and 3 ERMLs and not run that hot for a 72 damage alpha strike. That or try out dual ATM12s with some laser backups and maybe a UAC10 in there somewhere. Could go with dual ERPPCs plus dual HLLs. You got some options at least.

I've had very good matches with the quad LPL build on the MCII-A. I know it's a pretty basic build, but it's effective. I can consistently break 900 damage with several kills, and have frequently gotten over 1,000 damage with it.

Yeah, quad LPL was a staple of the old Warhawk, not really much to write home about, but it gets the job done.

Yep, like a workhorse of a pickup truck. It's not flashy, it's not creative, but it's reliable.
I run a 2x10uac with 4 med pulse set up, works well. If you go the gauss route just swap the 4 med pulse for regular meds.

Might give that 4 LPL build a go today used to use LPL alot then sortta stopped...
