You could go in with one of the versions that gets an extra high engine rating then throw masc onto it then try to basically be an ultra fat light mech, but I'm not really seeing that as something that's super effective.
The low mounted arm weaponry look like something that would cause a lot of trouble for it unless you were going with ATMs or LRMs so that you can just peek the cockpit above ground to get locks on targets.
Its definitely not an outright meta mech, most of it is just really average performance with a few builds that could be considered pretty good. Even single gauss with some lasers is just 2016 tier meta, and the mech can't do that well due to the low mounts. I can see a potential underdog role of max engine, MASC, and a short range high damage build so that it can work as a low weight striker build similar to a Linebacker on a budget that moves faster. Ironically enough, it might actually obsolete the Linebacker since due to engine scaling the Linebacker spends 6.5 tons more on engine weight to get the same speed as the 5 ton lighter Hellfire. Meaning that the Hellfire actually has 1.5 tons extra weight over the Linebacker and doesn't have 4 locked in engine heatsinks, so you can actually work with 5.5 tons over the Linebacker and don't have locked slots from the ferro and endo. Then ontop of this you have the MASC kicking the speed up a knotch.
Linebacker would remain as a dual ERPPC mech with high mounts that repositions quickly while the Hellfire takes over the other roles.
Because right now this mech is kind of meh, But I can see why they added it in. Clans Currently only had 1 60 tonner, they're more than likely just filling out the roster for clan mechs and choices
Whoopee, honestly.
