respec skill tree
I heard when you respec sp you have to buy sp again, but you wont have to pay cbill, you only need to pay half xp needed for sp instead, but i just test on my new buy mech, i buy 2 sp from GSP ( not GXP ) then use it, then respec it but when i want to buy 2 sp it still ask for cbill, and my previous skill node have different frame from other skill node, if i choose those skill node again it wont ask for sp. Does this mean rumor about you dont have to pay cbill for rebuy sp is false ?

Respec just unselects all the nodes in your tree. You do not get skillpoints back and the nodes you have unlocked stay unlocked, for you to select them again.

Its a button to reset the entire skill tree, and as that its accurately described, it just doesn't do the part you think it would and returns all the skill points you used to unlock nodes with. It does remove all your node selections over all the tree, tho.


I would have to look up the interface for the GSP, but the GSP are different from GXP, XP and Cbill, the GXP, XP and Cbill purchase is on the right and the GSP is on the left.. its an entirely different slider. But they work just like normal skill points once you tied them to a mech. Meaning you can unlock a node with them, but respec will not give you the skill point back and lock the node again. A node stays unlocked once its unlocked.

Which is why you can unlock every node in the mech... you can just have 91 active about them. And respec resets your active node selection, not the node unlock.
so i guess if you want to reactive it you have to pay half xp needed ?

any reason i should use respec option ? since i can manually unequip invidiual node, why i have to use respec option ?

Can't think of any instance where i would want to respec the entire tree and you can unselect all nodes in a tree by unselecting the very first node in the tree.

Uh, no, there is no cost associated with reactivating a node that you have already unlocked. They got rid of that quite a while ago.

Respec cost hasn’t been a thing for a year. Re-selecting unlocked nodes is free.

so that's why each mech only have 91 node active but they can unlock sp above that limit :v

Really? Haven't tried respecing things in quite a while. Now what am I going to do with the 300k XP sitting on my Cyclops?
Either you sit there, admiring the number, or you wait for the next XP-event and transform them int GXP for MC.

That is, unfortunately, an oversight of the XP system that they've failed to address since the game came out. XP doesn't have much use after you max something out, and it's so easy to max something out that converting to GXP makes no sense. At least in the old days, we had to buy special module skills with GXP, so conversion was viable (to an extent, for the first few hundred thousand GXP).
