And, why is that out of the question? Malware can still eat your system resources and you can still have a stack crash of a program... Just off the top of my head a simple one called "steam.exe virus" could that cause a stack crash... aka a Stack Overflow.. (i've had that before, didn't crash my system but it ate 90% of my system resources and I had 14 fps in games)
also a 4 ghz what? does your integrated CPU have a conflict issue with your GPU? meaning have you disable the integrated one that is built into your case/main board.. There are also other known hardware conflicts as well that can involve RAM and GPU, APU's and GPUs etc etc etc..
You've also given a somewhat vague description of your system.. brand names are important also... as is your OS version being used..
Also tomshardware.com is a gamer's best friend... I would advice you know what is your computer though in both hard and software before asking the wise IT folks that aid people like you on that site.. Because they ask these basic questions
But for now what is your system resources showing that are being used when you have MWO running (meaning when logged in and past the login screen)? And by that i'm asking what is your CPU% used and physical memory% being used, and what are they when MWO isn't running..
