IIRC historic is the exp you had on your chassis before the skill change.

Ok, what about general SKILL points, how i get them?
Dakota Dec 11, 2017 @ 12:32pm
Mech XP is just XP that that mech has earned and can only be used on that mech and is gained by playing that mech.

General XP is XP that can be used on any mech and is earned in every match you play, its given as a small percent of the XP you earned in the match, similiar to free XP in WoT.

Historical XP is XP that a variant of mech gained before the skill tree update, it can be used on any mech of that variant.

You don't. They were a one-time refund of your modules and there is no way to obtain them now.

GXP is also used to retake a node you had unlocked then changed your skill build, but then later change it again.. When you unlock a node for the first time you need 1 SP.. once it's unlocked then you use either MXP or GXP + Cbills to retake an unlocked node...

The math for earned GXP is 5% of whatever amount of XP you got at the end of a match...
SO if you got 4,500 xp at end of a match, then you would also be getting 225 gxp with the 4500 xp plus whatever c-bills earned..

GXP used to be used to unlock mech/weapons modules before the skill tree change, and also to fast track a crappy mech variant a player was "forced" to play back when you needed to basic 3 different variants of a mech to elite and then master one(or more)..

yeah its the one thing i do like about the skill system is NOT needing 3 of a chassis to get to the more useful elite skills.
Maj_Cyric Dec 11, 2017 @ 2:40pm
That and the x2 to all the basics once you got the 3 useful elite skills and the 1 useless one... but every mech had cookie cut skill tree... All the same..

I still haven't used all my refunded GSP points i got with the patch.. but the 800 mil cbills vanished real fast from all the light XL's i bought up..

For modules you owned before the Skill Tree was announced.

I answered your question regarding "general SKILL points" right here.... GXP stands for General Skill Points btw...

Before MWO started using the Skill Tree system, GXP was mostly used to unlock mech/weapon modules.. but could also be used to unlock mech skills... Like when a player had to unlock all the basic skills on 3 different mechs before they could unlock the elite skills.. If one of the Variants just sux balls and is painful for that player to grind in just for sole reason of unlocking those basic skills, they could never have to drop in it and just use GXP to unlock all the basic skills and then sell it off so then they could use the variant they are wanting with the elite skills open to be unlocked..

The whole refund was spilt and dealt out two different ways which was if modules were bought before a set date they would GSP points given, and after that date they got C-bills and GXP refunded... The player base was torn where many half wanted c-bills and GXP back, others wanted GSP.. and a few wanted a pony..

Here are 2 SS's showing my spilt refunds i got from my modules that i owned..

These are the ones that got GSP
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=931381438

And this one gave me C-Bills back
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=931381438

But currently GXP is only really used for reactivating a skill node you had unlocked and stopped using and now wish to use it again... using it to "fast track" a mech unlock nodes is a waste of GXP from how much GXP it costs..

"Ty for unswers, more ECM guys with UAV in you teams :taloslol:" with this message i want say "Ty, i figured out, the topic is closed", but ...
