Ok so do I go loyalists? I just want to grind out mechbays.
A tad bit of exploration and you would have found the Units and Group Tactics forum here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/342200/discussions/4/
It's literally on the right sidebar when you're perusing the Discussion forums here.
You could also make two mouse clicks on the regular, official MWO website and find this here:
https://mwomercs.com/forums/forum/307-faction-play/
That's the official Faction Play forum where most Units have their recruitment threads.
While most of us don't mind helping new players learn the game, I've begun to notice that you post an awful lot of rhetorical questions that could be solved very easily with the most basic effort. Please make the effort rather than just using us here on the forums. That's not to say that people won't help you if you ask, but when you make a discussion post about every little thing, it can get tedious, particularly when there is already an abundance of information at your fingertips.
Thanks!
Ok thanks sorry
No prob! The links are literally on the first page though, which is what makes it amusing. :)
Mercenary: 10lvls, you can do it quicker and jump from faction to faction. Get those rewards from all houses and keep going. This is to get the ropes of it.
Loyalist: 20lvls each house or clan. 7 days of penalty when leaving a house/clan, not being able to join another faction = no gain, no faction game in these days. Be careful.
Each mercenary level is exactly the same amount of points as two loyalist levels. Mercenary does not "go faster" than loyalist path with the exception of cool down weeks after breaking each loyalist faction contract.

Our training program is well-refined with hundreds of man-hours and documents that were developed over years. We allow people to rank up by distinguishing themselves with good attendance, completing training, and helping the unit. At the end of the day, we want to have fun, and winning is the most fun. An ethic of personal improvement is important in HHoD, also we hold most important the team victory. MWO is a team game.

I.
that is basically the best way to start a FTP account.. Or you can buy a light IS pack as another route. It is a bit more expensive, aka i think 14 bucks? But you get 3 bays, 3 mechs, and typically you can sell a couple. like if you get the locust pack, or firestarter, Raven.. Keep a mech, get a month, and sell mechs after striping them. You actually can sell the engines for extra money. A fully loaded mech sells the same as a stripped one, so even remove the armor.
another good item to spend cash on, espeically with steam summer sale coming is the Solaris pack. There are a couple of very solid mechs, like the rifleman and atlas, the Firestarter is nice too, but i prefer the ember. But you could sell a couple that you don't like, and then have a few money making heroes, a month premium and a few bays.. on sale it is like 14 bucks i think.. or atleast that is what i paid when i grabbed it.
