Thats not lag switching, that is the game being poorly optomized.

The only time I ever have lag in this game, in 4 years of playing, is occationally when trying to attack a light mech. It always makes me say "hmmmmm".

i see it happen, i've gotten better at dealing with it. i run good builds that make lag switches a moot point. and if anything just report em and move on.

I have never seen lag switching in this game, the only time I have seen it, very rarely was Dark Souls 1.

What you are seeing is someone running Netflix or some other streaming service while playing. We had a very great light mech player on our team, and every evening he would start that step-teleport thing. He found that when he turned off Netflix, it solved it instantly. People who are having that stutter are having a horrible time playing it. It's more or less desynched. The other players freeze and teleport to him as well.

That problem is more or less fixed by limiting the download bandwidth of Netflix. If that is possible.

Yeah that's what he did, but not sure how he did it. But yeah the game would be unplayable if one was shooting their latency up and down. That's why you never see "lag switchers" (people really with netflix-lag) firing.. they pretty much can't.
