I put an AC20 on a blackjack to see if I could and it turned out to be more fun than I imagined.

The 100ton mechs fell out of meta when the engine desync came in. However, I found this as an Atlas does really well and brings a ****ton of firepower to the battlefield. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=16&l=21c7b893dd2724231ca184ad75bd37254ac5ee5d

A Lore-like Warhammer build that is really fun to play, and isn't meta. You can do it with other Warhammer models, and they probably can do it better, but I only have the 7S in my inventory. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=384&l=3bba7a9fbdd3e5f2a535958095eeee779f071f60

A fun build in the Wolverine. It's not spectacular, but it does do well and is very nice at poking at short-medium range. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=131&l=735b52e0ed2257402492aa6e68e570339ecc66b6

Btw, Shadbase is not the most "youth friendly" place for a profile picture.

If any youths know about shad they are beyond saving and their parents should be locked up ;)
I don't have a Smurfy on hand, but... 5xML + 3xLL LFE300 SHS Banshee. ZAP.

I tried to run Metamechs' CPLT-C4 with quad SRM-6s and found I hated its' lack of ranged firepower. Tried to swap a pair of SRMs for LRM-15s, and... http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=24&l=2a182d7ea25cab214f13968eee097bb1a152c1c6 It may seem weird at first, but worked out fairly well for me in past few months (built it a week or so before the Skill Tree dropped).

Kids have surprisingly vast knowledge about what they should not know these days >.< give 'em an internet connection and you have already lost.

I'd be tempted to swap out the LRM's for MRM's. In my opinion LRM's dont work that well in small numbers, less than 50 at once it won't have much affect.

I might try myself a build using 2x MRM 20 with 2x streak 6's. Those streaks will decimate any lights that get too close, and the MRM's give you a bit more range than the SRM's.

Streaks and MRM's don't mix quite that well. You might be better in swaping those SSRM6s to MRM10s.

Two streaks is like using 6 flamers, honestly. But that's just how I evaluate the use of that equipment.

Only ever saw even a niche use for streaks in large numbers. Any less and for me, it goes from "non meta" to "I want to gimp myself" :p

on slower assaults having a couple is basically a deturant. Not everyone has perfect aim that can hit a fast moving mech if you play with PPC's or ballistics.

I've run a wolverine in the past for light hunting with triple streak 2's that actually pump out the same DPS as 3 streak 6's and a couple of LPL's for main weapons. It runs pretty hot with all weapons going at once, but you don't use streaks most of the time anyway. It is a great light hunter.. Get a bead on a locust, or other light and if they don't bugger out as soon as you get a bead on them, they are pretty much toast. Even if they do make it out, they are basically near death anyway.

the constant DPS makes them think twice and have to manuver, instead of counting to 6 knowing when the next attack is. 6 seconds is a long time, but being bashed every 2, or even faster if you chain them, that means you are getting missile hits a few times a second, non-stop

Try it some time.. You basically just need to put in a slightly smaller engine, or lose a heat sink or two to make the build on a few mechs. I really don't know why more assaults don't run at least 1 streak 6, its better to hit than not.

As i said, not every one is a top player.. Now with LFE's i plan to bring back the mech to use :)

The dual-Light Gauss HBK-GI is a lot of fun. Talk about a fast firing rate!!!

MRM 100 stalker 5M.

5 MRM 20 and lots of ammo, quirk for range, cooldown, velocity, armor.

alpha strike = overheat, fire in pairs and a single.

also, dual heavy PPC BJ 3 i think it is. i could have the wrong blackjack, but the one with the PPC velocity quirks, its both meta AND hillarious.

MRM Stalker seems like a good alternative to all the newbies in LRM Stalkers who get yelled at in game and on the steam hub.

MRM Stalker with the -missile spread and +velocity/range skills should be quite effective no?

Also can somone reccomend me a good sniper build for my Catapult K2?

I have tried PPC's and I dont like all the heat. But with the AC's / Laers it seems the alpha is very low.

You could do 2 gauss rifles on the thing for a good sniper build. Though I don't see why you'd find a ppc build too hot unless you were trying to use more than 2.

The PPC's by themselves are fine but if you run literaly any other weapons with them you will overheat pretty quick.

Im going to try 2x HPC with 1x R AC/2, ill report back after some testing.
