Please don`t do that, it is a waste of potential. Best thing of the Marauder the way it shields damage, just don`t....
Misselboats are cancer
Missiles seem best when paired with good backup weapons. I have a buddy that pulls 1k games often with his missileboat, its an orion iic, he has one ppc and as much missiles as he can carry. He always is right behind the brawlers, firing from 300-500 meters.
I only have one LRM heavy mech, a hunchback, 2x LRM20 2x srm6 1xtag 1xERLL. I've yet to break 1k with it, but I can do 600-800 in it. Not really an LRM guy though.
Too bad for you Imma hunt you like a wild pig
I am not an lrm pilot but you can`t go wrong if you put lrm in an awesome, Capatult, Stalker, Mad Dog. Some also use the trebuchet or griffin, but idk about those.
Marauder it for ballistic mostly but it can be used in other ways, anything that can be used to brawl is ok, you go into the enemy face and twist your torso to shield damage.
I have to play more with all this new tech but boating was very viable before new tech and I don`t think it has changed that much. You need someone to spot targets though to be a real force to the team.
best LRM is Orion IIC,
he can have 2 times 20 Arthemis LRM and a lot of ammo + lasers to back up.
Problem is team tonnage, Assault LRM means , the team does lack a close combat LRM mech.
Inner sphere LRM has a damn good sound, but they are inferior if it comes to tonnage and damage you can make.
here best Ingame LRM Mech

Here's a video with player using LRM's correctly... Take note of of his positioning and distance from his targets, and that he doesn't hide behind the front line 800m away.. That is the kind of LRM player type that worries me in a battle, as their missiles are very hard to dodge, and because they move with the front line are hard to get at to rip apart in a brawl..

O-Neil is a one of the best players in MWO that I know.. Many of my builds have been inspired from him..
But hey you're the one playing, and you can fail if you want to.. Just remember that most players that use LRMs don't use them correctly and require the team they are on to carry their fail...
As for putting LRMs on a MAD or MAD-IIC.. LOL.. well if you do you will be laughed at, trolled, and a tasty snack for any skilled players you go up against..
And no Blitzwing.. It's the player and how (s)He uses it, that makes something the best.. Not the Mech...
Also i would suggest any "questioning" MWO players to watch some of O'Neil's other vids he has on YT and learn and be enlightened from his playstyle..
I'd like to add in that with the new tech, ATMs are the better choice for the LRM players who have been running hybrid LRM+close range laser builds who sit up right behind the brawlers. They have a lower arc, more velocity, and more damage up close while LRMs have the higher long range damage.
This really means that Blitzwing's way for LRMs is really the only way LRMs will be used, as anyone using LRMs the up close way should swap over to ATMs for better results.
