External view?

Hi all, new to game.
What keys are used to switch to external view so I can admire the outside of my mech?

Check your keybinding settings... because F3 is the default key for 3rd person.. You might have unbound it..

Its working now, many thanks. I was in the tutorial at the time. Just finished the tutorial and can now get external cam :)
How to zoom in nad out in external cam please?

3rd person is a fixed distance view from the mech.. It isn't like World of Warships, where you can zoom in and out from the ship (mech)... You can only zoom in 1st person.. which has normal, x1, and x2 (and another if you have the adv zoom module on your mech)

I have Z bound for my max zoom (which is x2 because I often use my adv zoom mod)

If you have a buddy, you could use the spectator tool in a private lobby to do all the camera zooming that you want.

you can rotate your Mech in the Mechlab anytime.
Sadly there is no option for a green box instead the hangar.
