Hii, I've only watched the gameplay on youtube, haven't played it myself. I think the characters should have a wider variety of voice lines so that you aren't hearing, "I'm just tired." over and over. A wider variety of voice lines will help the game not feel so samey.

In addition to more variety of characters so you aren't see the same couple of faces over and over.

But overall, looks really exciting!

Only seen it in a video, but I would tend to agree with the person above me!

I would add that the AI voices (or weird text to speech?) NEED to be gone in the final product. It's inexcusably bad, and massively cheapens the entire thing. Given how much you can get a few lines of VO for on the likes of Fiverr, for a paid product, there's no excuse nowadays.

Other than these complaints, the concept is genuinely great! With more variety, and maybe some slight background running story (worsening of the zombie apocalypse, maybe raiders you need to identify and also keep out), and this will be really solid.

hope it will have full controller support, thats my main wish so I can enjoy it
Interested on the game.
Oh this looks good, I watched Fooster play is on YT and it's piqued my interest.

Question, how much AI went into making this? Not really happy about the AI voices but hopefully they are just a place holder.

Thank you,

Thank you,

We will add more voice variety and number of the voice lines for the full release of the game and we definitely try and step away from using AI voice as much as we possibly can, especially for the narrator.

That's one of the things we want to implement before the eventual release.

Given how solid everything else is, I genuinely have faith t hat you guys can pull off something really good here.

Though I do also understand that sometimes there just isn't ANY budget for things. So if you do fall into the situation where there is no budget for voice, I would suggest doing the voicing yourselves. Or get friends to do it!

Unpractised, unprofessional real human voiceover is always going to be better than any current AI voice.
I just heard of this game the other day and instantly wishlisted it. These types of games are right up my alley, Papers Please was such an amazing game to me. I'm excited for this.

However, I will agree that the AI voicelines need to be gone away with. I'd rather have 1 voice do the voicelines for everyone in the game than have AI voicelines, they seriously cheapen the experience.

Also, I assume you must know of "Contraband Police", another game heavily influenced from Paper's Please. Personally, I'd try to find that perfect balance that they had in combat vs. inspection. Inspection should be ultimately the most interesting part of the game, with combat as a flavor to break up the repetition.

Lastly, this is an issue Contraband Police had on release and didn't resolve for nearly a year. Please. Add. Endless mode. Games like this, it's a must. Some games just go straight into Endless after the main quests/story/tutorial is complete. If you're going for a story, please implement an endless mode. Either through a menu option or have it just go straight into endless after the story. This was the biggest thing that detracted from Contraband Police when it first came out (to me).

Excited to play!!!

So I didn't playtest it, but I watched a video, and the concept looks really interesting there's one thing though, I really dislike it when Zombies are mentioned in games, movies, media, you can call them infected, shamblers, the undead, limp brains, rotters, biters , anything else but zombie. It might seem like a silly thing to get hung up on, but I can't roll my eyes when the z word is dropped, it just seems too on the nose.
pls, let me play, I already love it, I love the concept, is there any other testing date

Thank you for an extensive comment, hopefully you will get an opportunity to explore the game in April.

Our main focus is in fact the screening/inspecting part of the game.

We'll see if it can be done right way before release of the full game, we already talked about endless mode internally.

I watched the gameplay on youtube, missed the chance to play it.

This game have great potential. if you inspired from paper please,
you should know Paper Please is great because of the characteristics slowly building up in NPCs you inspected. Not the inspection mini game itself.
And there are many ending based on each NPC background story and your choice.

Your game added more about base management. it is interested as first, but you may need to add more juice into it to keep it fun.

For example, Survivor belong to Doom Cult want to destroy your base?
Mad scientist what you to give him a chance to study zombie or run crazy test on survivor?
or your ex-wife get into the camp. etc...
