Performance issues on Windows 11
I'm loving this game so far, but I'm having great issues on my desktop, it runs extremely badly... My pc build is as follows: Ryzen 3 3100, RX580, 16gb RAM.
On the other hand, it runs perfectly on my laptop, which has an intel i7 7700hq and a gtx1050, so it's far less powerful... Any suggestions to fix it?

It's not the OS, it's your GPU; this game was NEVER optimised for AMD cards

Did you check if you have the .NET Framework 3.5 feature enabled, then run config?

I didn't, how can I do that?

Right click Start button, select Run. Enter optionalfeatures and press Enter. Check .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) which should be the first item in the list and click OK.

.NET Framework 3.5 is already set, so idk what the problem might be...

Alas, nope. I have no idea how to make it run. I guess it just works very badly with modern AMD processors...

I turned on Radeon Chill in AMD Adrenaline and locked the frame rate to be between 30 and 60, that seems to have helped quite a bit with the low FPS problem. I think modern graphics cards may run the game to fast and cause it to run like crap.

I upgraded to an rx6600 and the problem persists. Even enabling Radeon Chill makes no difference, it still runs like crap. I read on an article that the issue might be with RDNA-2 architecture, even though it sound weird considering the 580 had another kind of architecture... IDK, maybe is just crap optimization for AMD cards and CPUs. I'm very disappointed :'(

Have you tried the DXVK libraries? They are known to help with multiple older Sega games.

In addition, if you notice audio stutter/crackling in any game or application, you may have a buggy TPM implementation which AMD systems are known to have, in which case you will have to look for BIOS update, or failing that disable the TPM (do no do that if you use BitLocker or Windows Hello) or replace it with a hardware TPM (if using those two pause BitLocker first, and use your backup account password).

haven't tried DXVK libraries yet, I didn't even knew of their existence lol
I don't have any audio issue tho, so I'd exclude BIOS related issues, but thanks!
